Oaths And Omissions Novels & Stories

“You spell it like leash.” Threads pour from Oathkeeper’s palm—clauses knotted to cut. Heat surges in me; my tongue reaches for curses I don’t respect. The pulse hits soft, close. The cords hesitate. I shove my flame where it has wanted to go since the first page turned: Into the book. Ink blisters and screams. POV: Oathkeeper Vows do not scream. Vows obey. I have kept the Ledger since God thought obedience was how kindness stood up straight. I bleed bonds from wrists to paper for those who forget.

okay what sort of oath is this. Oh well I continued. “To serve and respect the pack. To not pose as a threat and to do all that’s required and going to be required of me,” I completed the oath. It felt more like a funeral oath because what the fuck. That wasn’t the end? I saw Jude put out his hand and call someone, the person's feet came running towards us. He brought out pieces of paper and ink. I gave you my word but it wasn’t enough, now you need my fingerprint? I guess they had trust issues.

Linnea rose to her feet and knelt in the center of the room. There are three kinds of loyalty oaths. The first type is the loyalty oath which risks the neck. The second type is the loyalty oath which risks the heartbeat that is the source of life. Then the last, the type of loyalty oath that risks the blood in the whole body. The third type of loyalty oath is the oath that brings the most painful death, where the blood of a person who has been violated will be pulled out by the Moon Goddess slowly. The person would feel excruciating pain for three days until all the blood in his/her body dripped out through mouth.

"Once we give that, we're bound. Can't back out." "Then we give him an oath that technically fulfills his requirements while leaving us room to maneuver." My mind was clearly working. "We swear to testify that Corvus became unstable. That his actions endangered other packs. That's not a lie—kidnapping Leila did exactly that. But we don't swear to support Garrett's claim to territory. We don't swear to help him in any way beyond the testimony." "You think he'll accept that?" Ronan asked. "He will if we word it carefully enough. Blood oaths are specific. They require precise language. If we're smart, we can give him what he wants to hear while protecting ourselves."

The wolves grinned, their sharp teeth glinting. The councilman’s eyes gleamed with enthusiasm. “Every oath needs to be sealed. Provide us with more. Commit yourself even more deeply. A second oath, taken freely, will put the first one to rest.” The councilman's eyes sparkled with excitement. “All oaths must be sealed. Give us more and commit yourself even more deeply. A second oath…made willingly…will silence the first.” Her breath hitched in her throat. “A second oath?” Vincent interjected sharply, “Don’t listen to him.”

Alphas were supposed to be at the top of the food chain, so they never took well to being ordered. “I’m sorry. I just need to make sure you keep it to yourself. The decision to accept or decline my offer will be yours alone. And if you accept, I will need you to make a blood oath.” “Hey, wait a minute—” “Please hear me out.” A blood oath was a dangerous thing. If Chase ever broke his promise, his death would be quick and painful. “Okay, fine. What do you need?”

Kael had one rule he never broke. Every piece of pack business, big or small, personal or official, he handled in strict order of priority. Never missed a beat. I'm Ella, his promised mate. I'd teased him about it more times than I could count. One evening, I tossed out the same question I'd asked a hundred times before: "Our Moon Vow ceremony has to be at the top of your list by now, right?" Every time I asked, he'd change the subject. There was always something more important. I could never figure out what could possibly matter more than bonding with me. Until the night I accidentally drank wine laced with wolfsbane at a banquet. The pain was unbearable. Kael scooped me up and drove straig

said Swordsman Li Han trying to convince Patriarch Yuan Kai. “Swordsman Li, it's good that all of us here take the Swordsman's Oath to keep this information confidential!” Liu Zimin made a suggestion. The Swordsman's Oath is a true oath taken by a warrior to keep a promise. Denial means death, whoever disobeys will be hunted down to be killed. Everyone agreed. Everyone did the Swordsman Oath including Shen Shen in it. After taking the oath, everyone turned to Shen Shen, waiting for an explanation to be spoken by the young lady.

It was essentially a vow of absolute devotion. It was also a trap. If Caden took it and was later seen supporting Institute work, even indirectly, he could be challenged for oath-breaking. If he refused, he looked uncommitted. "That oath was designed for times of war," Caden said carefully. "When pack survival is threatened and absolute focus is necessary." "Isn't this a time of threat?" Marcus asked. "Economic warfare from Gregory's coalition. Political pressure. Trade disruptions. Our pack is being targeted because of your connections."

Suddenly, a surge of memories overwhelmed her—a vivid flashback to her childhood. --- *Flashback: The Oath* A younger Luna stood in a moonlit grove, her mother, Lady Elara, guiding her through a sacred ritual. The air was thick with anticipation as Luna recited the ancient words, binding herself to a legacy she scarcely understood. "This oath," Elara whispered, "is our lineage's burden and strength.
