Mara smiled.
"We noticed."
He hurried to the window.
His mouth fell open.
"The flag is frosted."
There was genuine awe in his voice.
"It is," Damien agreed.
Lucas nodded seriously.
"I have to record this."
Without another word he climbed onto a chair, opened his weather notebook, and began writing furiously, completely absorbed in documenting what was obviously a historic event.
Mara leaned against the counter, coffee warming her hands.
She watched her son scribbling observations with complete concentration.
