The Brilliant Second Life of Doctor 'Vicious' Harper

The Brilliant Second Life of Doctor 'Vicious' Harper

Her body tensed further. “Chase, don’t!” Harper struggled softly, seeing the intent burning in his eyes. She flailed her hands against his chest, trying to push him back. He seized her small hands again, urgent, his head lowering, intent on breaking through her defenses and claiming a place in her heart. ***

A Heart for a Heart

A Heart for a Heart

A life is at stake here! His words left me dumbfounded and hurting, like I had my heart gouged out too. I held Stan's photo tightly against myself, but no matter how hard I gripped it, it wasn't filling the hole in my chest. "A life is at stake?" I laughed wryly, before snapping coldly, "When he just went missing for hours?! My dear Stan had an accident and then got his heart taken away! So I guess some lives are more at stake than the others?!"

Entangled Hearts

Entangled Hearts

I tried to focus on my work, to push these feelings aside, but they lingered, persistent and unyielding. The hallway was dimly lit, yet the tension between Lisa and Cherry was unmistakable. I stood at the top of the stairs, observing the scene unfold below. Cherry's voice was sharp, her gestures aggressive. Lisa, ever composed, held her ground, but I noticed the subtle flinch as Cherry's words struck deeper than intended.

The Awakening-My Future Alpha

The Awakening-My Future Alpha

Yet, amidst the shadows of hopelessness, a flicker of desperate determination glimmered in the eyes of Hailey. Hailey stepped forward, her hands trembling ever so slightly as she first carefully collected the small, black, pulsating heart in her outstretched palms. It was a heart torn from the one that cast the incante. Its rhythmic beat pulsed in her hands, a testament to the life that had once flowed through it. It wasn't at all what she meant, but spells were fickle like that, so long as it was a heart, it could work.

Thorns of the Heart

Thorns of the Heart

My mind and my heart were confused. My mouth was saying something different while my mind and my heart were not corresponding with what my mouth was saying. “I am not a gold-digger, ma.” You dare talk back at me? You brat, I will make sure I deal with you in this city.” The only thing I could do at that point was allow tears to roll down my eyes so I could not talk further.

Puppy Love

Puppy Love

Panic clawed at my chest as we exited the van, the cold wind biting into my skin. The scene that unfolded before us was like a macabre painting. Lifeless werewolf bodies littered the ground, their fur matted with blood. My heart sank, dread settling in the pit of my stomach. Harper and Lily could be among those corpses. I couldn't afford to lose Harper, not after everything we'd been through. We had yet to start our lives. We had just come home so she could introduce me to her folks and then return to Lumas to deal with the problem in Russ. This couldn't be happening. Drake and I were trying to gather ourselves.

This a good read from beginning to end. I feel this book deserves to have a sequel to it. Maybe a bit farther into their lives after the parents step down and hand everything over to the royal heirs now adults. Whether or not it happens PUPPY LOVE and THE DARK SIDE OF FATE deserve all the praise

I adored this book! My opinion Fated to the Enemy and Puppy Love deserve to be made into a TV series. The writing is exceptional, the characters are so vivid and relatable they feel like a part of one's own family. One can only hope both books are read by the right person, who believes as I do....

Frequently Asked Questions

Heart Wrenched' is this gut-punch of a story that starts off deceptively simple—a girl meets a boy, they fall in love, and everything seems perfect. But beneath the surface, there's this slow unraveling of secrets that neither of them saw coming. The protagonist, Lia, is an artist with a past she's desperate to outrun, while the love interest, Noah, is a musician hiding his own demons. Their chemistry is electric, but the more they try to hold onto each other, the more their flaws tear them apart. The story isn't just about romance; it's about how love can expose your deepest wounds.

The second half of the story shifts into this raw, emotional showdown where Lia and Noah have to confront their own insecurities and the lies they've told each other. There's a scene where Lia's art exhibition becomes this metaphor for their relationship—beautiful but fractured. Noah's music, which was once their shared language, turns into a weapon of misunderstanding. The ending isn't neatly tied up; it's messy and real, leaving you wondering if love is ever enough to heal what's been broken. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after finishing—it's one of those stories that lingers.
