Y’all want the ransom,” Hoot responded, sounding bored. “And if y’all know who I am, y’all know I ain’t goin’ down without a fight.” “Fair enough.” The officer who was speaking took aim. They hoped so badly that someone could save them, yet they had been disappointed over and over again. They were trod upon repeatedly until they gave up all hope. They assumed that it was just an extravagant dream that anything could change for them. Zayn’s appearance now brought a glimmer of light to their darkness. It turned out that Rheasians could be extremely powerful too… The police officer had a guilty look in his eyes after hearing Zayn’s remark, but he did not acknowledge it. Instead, he shook his head and said, “No… That’s not…the case… Everyone…is given fair treatment…in Murica…”

The safety officer even wrote Wren a ticket to prove he was serious. Just then another officer came running from around the corner. She was a petite girl with long brown hair down to her shoulders. She introduced herself as “Pavement Protection Officer 003.” Wren couldn’t help but ask what happened to “002” or why they couldn’t just use their names. As the first officer was happy to explain, they give up their names when taking on such an auspicious job and as for “002” they don’t talk about her.
