Oliver The Promised Neverland Novels & Stories

In the heart of the bustling Ol' Mare stood the grand amusement park, Flying Funland, attracting throngs of visitors daily. Today, under the radiant sunshine, Alexander fulfilled his promise to take his wife and child there for a day of fun. "Dad, I want some candied hawthorn on a stick!" chirped Olivia. "Sure thing," he replied with a smile. "Dad, I want some cotton candy!" she continued. "Of course," he agreed, indulging her requests.

After she left, Oliver sighed and pressed his forehead against the bars. "Sorry I lied to you, Delilah. I don't want that demon to trap you. If you tend to kill him, we'll be out of here. I promise to be a good big brother to you. I promise. Please, protect my sister, God!" mumbled Oliver as he shed tears. DUBRICH, AUCTION HOUSE

“Just sprained. You’ll be okay.” Eleven-year-old me sniffled and wiped his snotty nose with the back of his other hand. “Promise?” “Pinky,” Olivia said, holding out her delicate little finger. “You’re Nathan Ford! Nothing can hurt you. Not really.” And then, just like that, the scene was gone. The memory was a rush of emotions, the pain of my fall, the relief of Olivia’s presence, and the feeling of her pinky finger intertwined with mine. I had never forgotten that day. Never.

Claire claimed seriously. “I’ll always be your best friend, Claire. Don’t be sad,” Oliver said. Claire glanced at Oliver. She raised her pinky at him and muttered, “Pinky promise?” Oliver giggled. “Jeez! That’s so girly.” Regardless, he made a pinky promise anyway. The adults smiled at this and then said their farewells too. Roxanne then glanced down at Oliver and presented, “Let’s now go to your new home.” …

He said calmly, "The cherry blossoms will bloom soon. "She promised me that she would meet me under the cherry blossom trees. She won't break her promise." Ethan felt horrible as he looked at the faces of the kids. He wanted to find Olivia as soon as possible, but the kidnappers were well prepared. They didn't leave any clues. He could only hope that Olivia was still alive. Back on the island, Olivia had just finished eating some cookies. Her stomach was full, but her heart was empty. She had gazed at the night sky countless times. It was one of the few entertainments she had on the island.

Bed rest. I hated every single one of those words. Oliver watched me. "Please save them." That took every ounce of anger out of me. "We will." He searched my face. "Promise?" I hesitated only because I didn't like making promises about things I couldn't completely control. But this one I made anyway. "I promise we'll look for everyone." Oliver nodded. Then he stared at me for a few seconds. "My mom knew you." I frowned. "What?" "She knew you."

“I’ve got something for each of you, but only if you promise to be good for your mother and give her a break.” They nodded furiously, little faces solemn as they made their vows, though I knew it was probably a promise they’d struggle to keep. Still, I reached into my pockets and pulled out the candies I’d brought, handing them out one by one. “Thank you, Auntie Krista!” the youngest, Oliver, said, his voice sweet and sincere as he clutched his treat. “Now, what did I say about behaving?” I reminded them gently, raising an eyebrow. They chorused a hasty, “We promise!” before scurrying off, their excitement bubbling over as they compared the flavors they’d received. I watched them go, my hear

he paused for a second and then said in an earnest voice, “Promise me that you will come back to me Olive!” Olivia kissed him on the mobile and whispered, “I promise hubby! I will always come back to you!”

And it was in that yearning that his mind drifted, once again, to Lylah. The ache came softly, like fog curling through the cracks of a forgotten chamber. He could see her again now, as if time had collapsed—the stubborn tilt of her chin, the silent fire in her green eyes, the night they’d… The child they'd created. The Promised Saviour. He stiffened, his breath catching in his throat. The High Priestess's words came back to him. As long as he didn't have the promised saviour, all his efforts might well be in vain.

The clouds parted overhead, revealing a few scattered stars. One shone particularly bright. Chase looked at it, lost in thought. "Ever read The Princess and the Frog?" My mind was blank. "What?" "There was this firefly crazy about a star," he explained. "And he named it Evangeline." I nodded dumbly. "Yeah, and then?" Along the shore, the waves had frozen in place, forming undulating layers of white. New surges shoved fresh snow forward in a rhythmic dance. "Nora," he murmured.
