Chapter 15: Two Moons Entwined Chris read through the result slip a couple of times, thinking he had mistaken the word “Alpha” as “Omega”. JOSH POV Now, I have my first question. “Omegas?” I ask. Maddie smiles at me again. She begins to climb the stairs as she answers me, “Omega is a ranking within wolf shifter packs. It is the lowest rank of wolves. Most packs have an abundance of lower ranking wolves, omegas being the most prolific. They tend to be the worker bees. Landscapers, housekeepers, child care givers, teachers, nurses, and doctors; professions like that who are all about care and repetition, emotional empathy, encouragement and care. They have huge hearts, and it is in theirs’s and their wolves’ natures to be attentive and nurturing to the other pack members.

“But you’re not in this alone, no matter how much you think you are.” I looked at him then, really looked at him. There was no hesitation in his words, no doubt. Just the quiet, steady certainty that he meant every single thing he said. I hesitated before asking, “What does it even mean to be an omega?” Nolan was quiet for a moment, then leaned back, considering his words carefully. “Omegas are rare,” he started. “They have… a different energy than others. It’s not about strength or dominance—it’s about balance. Omegas connect to alphas in ways that no one else can. It’s instinctual.”

I'd seen what omegas in the pack looked like so I could picture. Omega wolves were termed so not because they were born the packs' weakest, but because it simply took more time for them to grow into the strength level of those who were born gammas. Gammas were widely called the lowest strength level in the hierarchy of the packs as they were known to dominate young omegas only. An older and experienced born omega was equal to a gamma so they became seen and referred to as that.

Kassandra's POV: First off let me tell you how I got to be an omega in my pack. It was one tragic night when I was 14 and I was at home with my parents, the alpha and luna of the Red river pack in texas. I had just got home from school and went to take a nap when I heard a noise from the living room. I went down to check it out and saw that three rogues had found their way into our house.
