Vivian’s POV “Vivian, should we head for the towels first?” Tanisha asked. The beach was a blur of bright colors, crowded with people, but an empty space in the middle stood out. It was bordered by the lake, flat, and marked with “VIP” signs. Omegas moved through the crowd, carrying food and drinks. I mind-linked them as they approached the beach, ensuring everything was ready. Warriors in swim trunks blended in, a protective wall for our group. A crazed fan could ruin the mood, even with Alphas and high-ranking wolves around.

From a distance a horn sounded, it was deep and resonant, the kind used to signal arrivals at the border. A moment later, a chorus of excited voices rose from the hallway, and that's when I realized that the Alphas have returned. I pressed my back to the kitchen wall, heart hammering. I told myself it didn’t matter, that their return meant nothing to an Omega who had mastered the act of being unseen. But as the sound of boots drew closer to the hallway, and the scent of dominance curled through the air, my wolf surged forward.

someone called out in agreement and more voices joined. “Divorce your omega wife and you can marry your fated mate. The moon goddess has blessed you with a beta born as your mate! With her by your side, you will finally be stronger and we can win the war. The future of the pack is going to be safe!” Elder Zachary cheered.

“And you shouldn’t be doing this to me. My Alpha will have his revenge if I’m harmed in any way.” The wolf addressing me just rolls her eyes. “My name is Vaina, and I’m the Luna of the Rogers Lake pack. You’re in our custody now.” The Rogers Lake pack. I’ve heard Caleb talk about them. They’re a rival pack who lives in a small town near Flagstaff. Caleb says they mostly keep to themselves, but that there’s been some bad blood between them and our Flagstaff pack. “What do you want with me?” I ask. “A very good question,” Vaina says, wrinkling her nose as she looms over me. “I can smell the Omega on you, and one wonders what use you could ever be to anyone.”

The next morning, Matilda woke up feeling groggy and disoriented. She had tossed and turned all night, haunted by nightmares of her parent's death. As she got dressed, she tried to push the memories out of her mind and focus on the day ahead, she heard a knock on the door. She opened it to find two omegas standing in front of her. One was a tall, thin blonde named Felicia, and the other was a short, plump redhead named Emily. Matilda recognized them as two of the pack's other omegas.

As I listened to the sound of his knuckles, it felt as though he was prepared to unleash his claws upon a frightened little mouse, it's me. I tightened my grip on the papers, bracing myself. Then his words startled me, "Tomorrow, you will turn 21. If you remain without a wolf, I will have no choice but to send you back to Alpha Luke of the Litha Moon Pack." My heart pounded in my chest, and a gasp escaped my lips. I couldn't help but raise my head, meeting his gaze directly. The Litha Moon Pack was known for its ruthless Alpha, and the omegas there were rarely granted the freedom to live their lives as they wished. Their bodies were considered the sole property of their Alpha.

My wolves name was Victoria, she was a petite black wolf with a large white patch that covered most of her back. She greeted me coldly. We didn't get along much. "she didn't like being an omega." Like I enjoyed it either. I greet her back warmly but she only rolls her eyes. “We found out that she never registered you at the omega center when you were born.” I frowned at him. “What does that mean?” “Every omega born needs to be registered at the omega center. It’s for them to keep track of omegas to make sure that they aren’t being abused or anything.” “So they don’t have a record of me?” Val shook his head. “We want to register you at the omega center…we want to register as a pack.” “A pack?” “We are pack.” “We are.” His smiled widened. “A family.” “Yes.”

I would help burn that script for our family. I knew it was the right thing to do, but I had to get to the bottom of this story. Especially after my Luna recently revealed disturbing rumors: that Omegas in our packhouse had been raped in the empty Beta wing. The thought that someone could commit such a crime under our roof - within our own pack - filled me with seething anger.

They were still trying to get a hold of the Midnight Howler's plans and it's been a few hours already there was no news. Beta Jayden and Delta Tristan were busy trying to get a hold on to the sentinels who were sent over to spy on the Midnight Howlers. There was still no news and couldn't connect them through phone call or mind-links. A wild knocking on the door brought their attention, one of the men under Jayden's command came in.
