Punished. I quickly put down the bible and sat on the floor with my hands on my head. I shook my head repeatedly. No.No.No.No. This was my new life now, and I would make the most of it. If I was on my best behavior here, I could get off early. Suddenly, I could hear someone coming and I immediately straightened up. The small hole that was on the door opened and I could see a pair of piercing silver eyes stare at me.

Shaking her head in a frantic motion, Emmeline fought the intoxicating pull of his proximity. This man was temptation incarnate. He was a walker of iniquity sent to drag her down into a den of ruin. She squeezed her eyes shut and desperately summoned the ultimate shield of her faith to combat the heat pooling in her belly. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. First John chapter four, verse four." She gasped the scripture in a breathless rush, clinging to the verse as a frantic reminder that the holy spirit within her was supposed to conquer the sinful flesh of the world. Yet her body continued its rank betrayal.

’ And lead us not into temptation. ‘She sees things, forbidden by the most holy. . . . the devil’s whore and her spawn will corrupt your son. . . . ’ But deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. . . . ‘Magnus has come. . . . ’ Forever and ever. . . . ‘. . . . he is here, in this world. . . . . ’

Timotheus snatched the Bible from Ferran’s hand and opened it as if he was so familiar with the book. “John 3:16… John 3:16…” Timotheus opened the Bible and saw the highlighted verse. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He read. “What about the numbers 17, 18, 19, 20, 21?” Czaquira asked. “Maybe the words?” Timotheus was confused for a while.

I thought to myself. But then... She began taking me through the Bible.... She made those inspiring verses known to me and explained them all to me in detail. Some of those verses are; Jeremiah 1:5 Which says, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. " Psalms 139:16 Which says, " You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. "

“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
