I secured her in the car seat which I just bought on my way here and got it installed. I sit in my car and drive out of the house,I can see my mom kneeling and crying and my dad rubbing her back softly from the rearview mirror. I quickly turned away, avoiding his gaze. Just then, Mom emerged from the hospital entrance with a large smile my pouch hung on her palm. "A review of how you survive while going home?" she inquired with a jesting tone. She knew I had forgotten my pouch and I had no money with me.

“You ready?” My mom pats me on the shoulder and takes my bag from me when I get close, turning me around as if I am still five to fix my clothing, and yet I can’t go just yet.
