Brave for Once
No one scolded me, asking why I was so useless, being afraid of even this.
A month later, a rat scurried out.
Strangely enough, I discovered that I really wasn't that afraid anymore.
So I turned on my phone, which I hadn't looked at for a long time.
There was a bit of signal in the mountains, and the phone was packed with missed calls and messages.
At that instant, it struck me how miraculous it was.
It had only been a month, but the girl they had called timid for over twenty years now taught over twenty children in the deep mountains, had walked past a mountain path with a snake, and had even made a six-and-a-half-year-old friend.
