One Eye Blinking Slower Than The Other Novels & Stories

I was about to ask him what happened when he spoke up. "Are you wearing contacts?" he asked in confusion. I froze and my eyes widened in surpise. "Your one eye is golden and the other is blue," he added, sounding puzzled. I turned sharply towards the glass door to check my eyes. Indeed one of my lenses had slipped off. One of my blue eyes was staring back at me.

I lay there fighting my sleep taking heavy blinks in between hoping it will keep me up. In between blinks, I start to see a figure moving forward slowly. With every blink, it gets closer and closer. My body can barely react, the exhaustion was too much for me after today. I can feel the presence of someone or something in the room staring at me. My eyes finally close as I fall into a deep sleep.

She began to walk back to the house. Slowly and steadying, she made her staggering way back home. As she got to the front door, she noticed her reflection on the mirrored door. Her eyes had swollen so much they looked deformed. They looked redish black, like they had been dipped in dye. Amelia then noticed she could not blink with the other eyes. Her vision there was blury and even as she opened them, she noticed something big was blocking her vision off. It seemed enormous. She took her hand to feel what it was.

I’ve been studying them both closely, just like Dad trained me to do with all my enemies. One-Eye has a clear preference for his right-hand side, which makes sense given his massive blind spot. I spot nicotine stains on his fingers. A smoker. He hasn’t left to take a smoke break in a while, and I can see him getting a bit jittery. He’s grown progressively more agitated over the past few hours, which only adds to my theory. I wonder if I can use this to my advantage somehow.

This was my first time. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My husband's white shirt. My black pencil skirt. My husband's gray tie. I let my hair down, slightly wavy at the ends. My face was bare, but I put on a little red lipstick so I wouldn't look pale. Then I took my glasses from the bedside table. I wasn't blind, but my vision had been bothering me for the past few months. The doctor said it was a side effect of my heart condition. Blood flow to my eyes wasn't smooth, so sometimes my vision was a little blurry, especially when reading or looking at distant objects.

And the Unexplainable thing happened as I was staring at those red eyes the new tattoo on my neck started to tingle. I ran my hands on the mark at the sensation; it may be my imagination, but I think the brightness of those eyes increased a bit. Okay, that's weird. How can that be possible? I try to concentrate on looking into those lights to identify what that is. My eyes start to sting because of the strain from looking at it without blinking for a long time. When I blink them once, it doesn't even take a second, but the red lights are gone. And the window is closed.

I moved closer until our faces touched and then started blinking my eyes, letting my eyelashes battle with his. But after blinking a few times, my eyes were already itching so much that I wanted to rub them with my hands. But I stubbornly resisted the urge and continued to blink. After about six times, his eyeballs began to move. His hands that were folded in front of his chest also moved slightly. He wasn't sleeping at all, just deliberately ignoring me. Hmph, I was going to continue blinking even if it was itching terribly. I had to persevere. But he moved before I could continue further.

After work, Angela stopped by a mall to buy some food for Dolly, along with winter clothes, then drove to Rosewood Manor. On the way, her left eyelid kept twitching. Her father had taught her that when the left eyelid twitches, she should silently repeat, “Left eye brings luck, right eye brings trouble.” After repeating it three times, the twitching stopped, only for her right eyelid to start. Her father had taught her that too: when the right eyelid twitches, repeat, “Right eye brings luck, left eye brings trouble.” Strangely enough, both of her eyelids started twitching at the same time.

She let out a long breath, turned her face sideways, and bumped into a turquoise eye. Sagon plopped down on the side of her bed and stared at her with an eye that hadn't even grown yet. His right eye was still an empty black eye hole, the left eye had grown, but there was only a lone turquoise eyeball set in the socket, the eyelid was not repaired along with the lower eyelid, and at first glance, it was even more oozing than the two black eye holes. Evelyn froze for just a moment and immediately recovered.

said the doctor. He counted from one to three in his thoughts, and tried to open his eyes all over again. It was slow, and nerve-racking. The great disappointment consumed him when he was able to half opened them and saw nothing but darkness. His tears were starting to form on both sides of his eyes. "Blink," the doctor advised. He shut his eyes again and opened them, blinking twice until he was able to fully open them. Another sight of darkness welcomed him, and it made him teary.
