Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!

Another Chance At Love—But Which Ex?!

"Deena and Trenton, please go first." We were asked to wear smart watches that will monitor our heartbeat and it flashed to the screen in a second. We sat in front of each other and simultaneously picked up the paper in front of us. "You don't have to look at the screen to know your heart rate. Normal heart rate is color pink, and it will blink in color blue whenever it rises, and green if it decreases. If it's over 150, it will flash red." Trenton and I nodded and I avoided looking into his eyes.

Six-Times Rejected Freak: Claimed By The Alpha Prince

Six-Times Rejected Freak: Claimed By The Alpha Prince

Alina I blinked. Once. Twice. The light was too much. It pressed down on me, like fingers prying into my skull. My heartbeat pulsed in my ears, and I could hear things. Too many things. A rustle here. A sigh there. The ticking of a clock far away, though I wasn’t sure if it was real or imagined. Was I going mad? I shut my eyes again, breathing slowly. One breath. Two. Three. Then, I opened them carefully—slowly, like peeling back a wound that hadn't quite healed. I blinked again, trying to focus.

So You Think Your Sister's a Vampire?

So You Think Your Sister's a Vampire?

Bella Moondragonseducing my sister
I definitely couldn’t dwell on that at the moment. Breathing deeply seemed to be helping. I checked my heart rate again and saw that it was falling. Normally, my resting heartbeat is slow, like 50 bpm, so it had been working a lot harder than usual. I was glad I hadn’t tried to take Eliza’s exact footage and stick it in Cadence’s mind without building it from my own memory because who knows what that might’ve done to me.

PETER The resting heart rate of a healthy twenty-four-year-old male under zero physical exertion should register between sixty and seventy beats per minute. At 1:42 AM, my thoracic telemetry module registered a sustained baseline of eighty-four. I stood motionless before the floor-to-ceiling structural glass panels of my private study, my hands clasped rigidly behind the small of my back. Sixty stories below, the arterial grid of Seattle stretched out like a sprawling, illuminated circuit board, its cold white and amber neon tendrils bleeding into the black vacuum of Elliott Bay. The glass before me reflected a flawless, near-photographic image of my own physical frame—the sharp, unbending l

The Female Alpha

The Female Alpha

I observed Sally closely and once again I could feel her vibrating in fear, once again her fear gave me so much pleasure, so much pleasure for one person. "The rule is this, during the game, you are not allowed to blink, even if you do, try to open your eyes immediately and do not blink more than four times in an hour. Two, do not look away, no matter how tough it gets, do not try and look away. Then lastly do not close or cover your eyes, do not place your palm over your face. If I catch you breaking any of these rules, you will be forced to join this game", I gave my orders my eyes fixed strictly on Sally's. "Did you get everything I have stated or should I repeat them?" I asked her harshl

Trapped In Beastly Desires

Trapped In Beastly Desires

Nearly five seconds, her eyes flew open to the sound of Anthony’s heartbeat. Her expression flipped quizzically as she listened to his heartbeat. A normal heart rate for someone who just ran a distance might be from 171 to 200 bpm, but his was far beyond 200. Fast, booming in her ears. All the same, he seemed relaxed — showing no sign of disturbance.

Promises Forgotten

Promises Forgotten

She came over to me and shined the light pen in my eyes and I blinked against the brightness. “How bad is it?” “The medication takes the edge off of it, but we are working our way up to an 8 out of 10 even with the pills.” Her smile turned to a frown. “Your pupils are a little slower to respond to the light. Have you been sleeping well?” I shook my head. “I get about three to four hours a night. During that time, I see…or dream…flashes of things I don’t remember. Sometimes I feel and can’t see. Sometimes everything is blurry. But I just wake up in a cold sweat.”

I absolutely despise this author (but not really) Their writing drags me through the full gamut of emotions: feeling everything Alpha's Blind Luna made me lose my damn mind. I have to psyche myself up to read each book but I never regret it

Well how do I start this, but you have to read it but warning!!! Bring a lot of tissues, you will need them. Wonderful writing, in love with both leads character and their friends. Beautiful story line, not too short or long, cry, sad, pain, laugh and love. Worth reading & spending. Highly recommend

My Husband Taught Me How To Love

My Husband Taught Me How To Love

Earlier, Lisa only blinked once after a long time but now she was blinking frequently. The nurse asked “Do you like cherry blossoms? OK, I will take you there tomorrow again.” Meanwhile, Dr. Quinn came in and asked, “What happened?” Nervous, the nurse swallowed hard and explained, lowering her head “Today I took her to the cherry blossom tree. She blinked and shook her head, and there were movements in her hands as well.” Her eyes moved to Lisa, “Look, she is blinking frequently now.” Dr. Quinn also observed that her frequency of blinking increased a bit. He asked, “Are you sure that it was because of the cherry blossom tree?” He watched Lisa interestingly.

The Kidnapped Bride

But it was a mole nonetheless. I liked to find little things about her. I did most of these things when she was asleep. She would not move and I would be able to analyze her whole body, watch and find imperfections that made her even more perfect. Sully had 145 lashes on the upper lid of her left eye and 139 lashes on the upper lid of the right eye. She had 65 lashes on the bottom lid of her left eye and 73 lashes on the bottom lid of her right eye. Less perhaps at this moment since I had not counted it last night.
