In the distance, I could see the lights of the town. Then something happened which made my heart drop to my stomach. A black crow landed on the edge of a tree, cawing loudly. Its beady red eyes met mine. It flew directly towards me, squawking. My hand involuntarily tightened its grip on Aurora's arm and she flinched violently. Then the crow flew straight past her.

Sighing, Jean chimed in, "That woman is such a nuisance. She's like a leech; you can't shake her off!" After a brief silence, Jack piped up, "If she's dead, her stocks will belong to me." "Is that true?" Jean asked with glee. I trembled violently when I heard the suggestion. Was my husband thinking of killing me? I stood there, frozen. At that moment, a chill swept through my entire body, leaving me trembling uncontrollably. I had never imagined that the man I shared a bed with, the husband I trusted, would be planning to kill me.

Bianca woke up as a Queen and no wild flying bird objected to her reign. As the crows soared through the moonlit sky, their numbers began to multiply. He felt like he was being poured with a glass of cold water when his speculation was confirmed. Hyde remembered it when he went to the victim's vanity table. He remembered what it looked like. A bird darker than a crow, and usually eats flesh from dead animals. A bird that means DEATH... A CARRION CROW.
