I could feel the wind blowing back my hair, stinging my eyes and bringing tears to them, could feel the wind tossing my clothes back, yet I persistently ran. "Ouch!" I hiss when I abruptly ran towards a deep part of a forest and the first thing that greeted me was a branch to my face. Nevertheless, I still keptt running. My arms and legs were sore, and the side of my face was red and burning from the slap, but I didn't stop Suddenly, a large animal pounced Infront of me. I froze, and stepped back, staggering and falling on my bottom in the process when I realized it was a werewolf.

I scrambled toward the open door, my chest heaving, every muscle in my body screaming for release. "Cassius!" I shouted, though I knew he wasn't in there anymore. Just the beast. I sprinted into the corridor, not looking back as the sounds of visceral, tearing flesh echoed behind me. The hallway was dark, illuminated only by the faint light coming from the main entrance of the pack house. I could hear shouting, the distinct sound of gunfire, and the screams of men dying. I ran until my lungs felt like they were filled with broken glass. I reached the main floor to see Malakai and Tavian engaging a group of three monsters near the grand staircase.

That led to them saying it four more times. Just for fun, I demanded they say the words twenty more times. Then I dropped them to ground. The moment their feet touched the ground, they all ran like mad dogs, one stumbled twice as he fled. “You okay?” “I am now.” Alex said, shivering. I noticed that his shoulder was dislocated. I felt really bad for him. There was only little he could do as a mindreader, and werewolves were bullies even to fellow werewolves, not to talk about mindreaders or seers who couldn't defend themselves at all.

Run. Run. Run.
