She succeeded in getting the car door opened. As she unlocked it and was about to get in, the sound of a gun rang twice. Maya froze as her blood ran cold. Maya looked down at her stomach and found herself bleeding. She had been shot. She slowly turned back and found Fiona holding the smoky gun with a grin spread across her battered face. “You think you’re so smart, huh?” Fiona yelled as Maya’s body collided with the ground. Blood poured out of her body nonstop as she dropped to the ground, and a tear left her eyes. Her hand tightened on her gunshot wound while she stared up at the scorching sun, hoping for some miracle.

He took a somewhat worn-out wallet from the inner pocket of his black suit. In the wallet's lining was a yellowed photograph. In the photograph, I was fresh from my wolf awakening and was wearing a white dress. My eyes were shrunken up from smiling as I held a sunflower windmill. My background was the tree-lined path of the werewolf academy. It was taken on our first date. He kept it close to him but never admitted to me that he cared. He reached out his hand, covered in horribly scarred burns, to touch the inscription on the tombstone, but his fingertips trembled violently in mid-air.

“No—” The word tears out of me as her finger tightens on the trigger. The gun lifts. Her hand doesn’t shake. Her eyes don’t waver. Everything about her is still. Too still. “Maria, don’t—” The shot goes off. The sound cracks through the speakers— loud, violent, final. For a split second, the world stops. Then— the screen glitches. Cuts. Returns. She’s still standing. The gun slips from her fingers, clattering against the floor.

“Eat up before the food gets cold.” “Thud!” Susan slammed her utensil down, her chest heaving. “We are a table of twelve, and this is what you get us?” One family member uttered, “Macie, surely, this is a mistake. This isn’t quite the New Year’s Eve spread we usually have. In previous years, the family would have a feast with plenty of the finest seafood. This year, the table looked barren, set with only a small buffet. The only thing remotely close to a shellfish blowout was a measly shrimp cocktail.

"We didn't kill the god. We just gave it a bigger world to play in." The guard pulled the trigger. The gunshot was muffled by the sudden, deafening sound of a thousand screens simultaneously pinging across the city. The screen in front of them turned pure white, and then, slowly, a single character appeared in the center. It was an eye. And it was blinking.

I couldn’t move and almost got a heart attack due to nervousness after seeing different types of knives, machete and axes pointed at my face. W-what is this? I was about to ask what was going on but stops when someone moves next to me, at my left side. I almost ran out of blood and my eyes got wide open right after seeing the person next to me. It's Verna! Wait! H-how come??! I hope what I have in my mind is wrong. I hope it's wrong. I repeatedly prayed to myself and held onto the blanket wrapped around the body of the two of us. I peeked underneath slowly.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, y'all are part of this success. FURTHER ANNOUNCEMENT: One In A Million will have its spin-off, Run. It was so devastating to see that he's here, instead of begging and asking for forgiveness, chose to be with his hoe acting as if he was the victim. When they were about to enter the doorstep, my father moved to meet them and blocking their way. He released a raging anger "I am the alpha of this family! Yes, I may be a poor man from this poor countryside, but I won't let you easily trample the family that I built with my sweat and blood!". He moved one more step and to my surprised, he slowly load each one bullet to his old gun that hasn't been used for so long. Nick and Ana was shocked to what they saw at the moment that they could not think straight. They were so nervous that you could se

It didn't take to genius to know who made it rare and the reason behind that. As the lady stormed away, still making her call, I stood in inaction wonderimg why she was baptised with one of the rarest plants in the world. I didn't have to think much. She was covered with the one thing that made werewolves weak, and was in a town that had more werewolves than any other being. She had to be one thing: a hunter. And last time I checked, the only agency that hunted werewolves was ANTI — and they weren't to be taken lightly.

"Let's see you hit the target with every shot." I can feel the grin spreading across my face. Wordlessly, I move to about seventy-five yards from the target. Once I've reached a good spot, I line up the shot and wait for a few moments to determine if I'll need to correct for the wind. Once I'm satisfied that I'll be able to hit the target, I begin firing. When all my bullets are spent, I turn to Ana. She is staring at me open-mouthed. "How did you do that?" she asks, her tone as incredulous as her expression. "How did you do that with only one eye?"
