The second died when a suspended engine block came crashing down from above. The third bled out after stumbling onto exposed metal spikes I had positioned beneath loose boards. The others became cautious after that. Unfortunately, caution came too late. I knew that building, but they did not. It wasn't my first time entering that space. I knew where they would search. They did not know where I was hiding. One by one, they disappeared. One by one, they died. The room remained silent. Nobody interrupted. Even Elliot looked stunned. I continued. "I did not sleep."

POV: ALEXANDER. The murder case was slowly beginning to die down to my dismay, because there were no clues nor directions to the case. Even on Xavier's side, nothing was forth coming. Like a well planned act, the cameras of the building had been shot down few hours before the event even began and the guards in charge were spiked by an unknown person. On my own end, the pain of my mother's death was long buried, by the excruciating pain of knowing how much she must have suffered before she died. And with the way this case was going, everyone was gradually loosing hope.

I did the same with Andy, and with his usual mischievous grin, he grabbed the lethal mini atomic bombs from the bag, escaping into the darkness in his wolf form to set them in place throughout the building. As we waited, I pulled out a tablet and in a matter of seconds, Wren managed to set up the cameras inside the building, giving us some visuals on what was going on in there. There were four floors in the building and our cameras only covered three, leaving out the first floor. Carefully, I swiped through the footage as soon as Wren had set cams up in the building. Both pairs of murderous eyes turned to the door pointing the dagger and gun to the door to the unfortunate intruder. There stood the Butler with a gun and five men dressed from head to toe in black. They were frozen in shock and disbelief, the flooring below them had slipped from their footings. They all had heard the crashing noise and had come to eradicate the culprit, armed and shield. But nothing could shield them from the horror of what was unfolding before them. Initially, that had seen a trashed room like there was a tornado that passed and then their half-naked Boss who had been grieving his dead lover sharing passion with an equally indecent woman.

"I don't know. Hours maybe. Until they clear the building." Hours. I didn't have hours. The heat was building faster than it ever had before. Stress was making it worse. Fear was making it worse. Being trapped in this small space with no escape was making everything worse. Ronan's phone buzzed. He pulled it out, checked the screen. His expression darkened. "What?" I asked. "Security update. They found three officers dead on the fourth floor." His voice was flat. Empty. "Where we were." My stomach turned. "Those shadows killed them?"

The zombies on the first and second floors heard the sound and began swarming toward the third floor. The two of us raised our suppressed submachine guns, taking down one zombie with each shot. As I killed them, I silently kept a tally of my kills, competing with Kevin Keane in my head. I can’t keep losing to him. "AHHH—!" A bloodcurdling scream suddenly erupted from the master bedroom, followed by Agatha Palmer’s frantic cries, "Terry! Calm down!" Caelan Shaw and Nancy Sullivan quickly ran behind Kevin Keane and me, warily watching the master bedroom.

Tom barked, as he could clearly hear the boom from the other end. Fred promptly sprinted out of the office, bellowing at the security guards who were running too, "What the hell is going on?!" "B-block blew up! Several floors collapsed!" a security guard replied, having heard everything from his colleagues over the walkie-talkie. "Fuck! Fred, you incompetent piece of shit!" Tom heard that report clearly and saw red as he picked up his laptop and slammed it on the floor, leaving it in pieces. Not content, he smashed his phone on the floor too.

Hansen Huang in his relaxing fashion. Definitely all the women, the young girls, and the teenage girls would scream out loud, would yell hysterically, and would run here and there in the big mansion when suddenly some of Mr. Hansen Huang’s subordinates on the second floor began to release some shots. I tried to direct my gaze away from the four corpses lying on the floor. I searched through my pockets but couldn't find my phone anywhere. A sound of something being dragged closer made me freeze up again. I turned around to look at the corner door that was wide open. Carleon whistled as he dragged one of Humbert Bale's legs, pulling him back into the room. His whistle stopped and was replaced by a grin when he saw me again. He effortlessly gathered the fifth victim and placed him beside the others, just like in his narration earlier. Five people murdered for embezzlement of company funds.

See them?” “The cameras?” Mila slips out her small pistol. “I can shoot them, or?—” I fire off a shot before she finishes talking. The lens on the security camera that sticks off the far-right corner of the building shatters. The sound is muted by the club’s music. Mila clicks her tongue in annoyance before taking out the second camera. “Show off,” she mumbles. “It’s not a contest,” I say with a half-smirk.
