Operation My Mommy My Call Novels & Stories

I guessed that he was calling to urge me to apologize to Doris in the group chat again. I did not want to answer the call, but the phone rang over and over, as Luke called me over seven times. I was still in the pack cleaning up work, so he called the phone there and the phone was brought to me. "Alpha Luke’s on the line. Seems urgent," the guard said, handing me the phone. I took in a deep breath and reluctantly answered the call. "What is it?" I asked coldly. The moment I picked up the call, Luke's angry voice scolded me over the phone. Someone would have thought I was a servant taking orders.

A smile curved my mouth immediately, "Can you give her the phone please?" "Of course." I waited while the nurse made her way to my mother's hospital room and handed her the phone. "Mona?" Mum asked in a weak voice. "Hey mama," I said with an excited tone. "How are you feeling today?" I was eager to tell her that she'd soon have her operation and be out of the hospital, but I didn't want to answer questions about where I'd gotten the money. If she found out I'd gone to the Elliot's to beg and was now on my way to seduce a man for a heavy sum, she'd have my head.

She grabbed some hand cream from the drawer and offered it to me. “No, thank you.” “Thank you.” “For what?” “For this.” She looked around. “It’s not a big deal. I told you, and it makes me happy if you won’t resist. I swear I don’t have any hidden agenda. Why would I deny something if it makes you comfortable?” Before she could lie down, my phone vibrated. “I’m sorry.” It was my mother calling. I answered it. “Mom.” “I was worried. You haven’t called me, but the chopper is at the Osmium.”

I fumbled for my phone, nearly dropping it in my haste to dial. As I waited for the operator to pick up, I kept talking to Mom, hoping my voice might somehow reach her. "Come on, Mom. You can't do this to me. We still have so much to talk about. Please, just open your eyes." The operator's voice finally came through, asking about the nature of my emergency. I tried to explain what had happened, my words tumbling out in a panicked jumble. "My mom... she just collapsed. She's not moving. I don't know what to do!"

“Oh, God. I can’t decide who deserves more sympathy. You’re sure Monica is dead?” “Now, I think they pronounced her dead at the scene. I don’t… wait, something is happening here. Okay, I just saw three police officers storm by with a person on a gurney and medical staff. I think I saw Monica on that gurney. Don’t celebrate yet. And there goes my mother. They may have declared her death too soon. I’m must let you go. Something’s happening here. I’ll investigate to find out what’s happening. My reason to call you is to tell you Ivy went into surgery five minutes ago. The surgeon says it’ll be about three hours before know if he can correct everything properly. Ivy’s not pregnant. But he’s hope

I pulled the door open and stepped into the hallway, phone pressed to my ear, voice lowered so I wouldn’t disturb the whole floor. “Jemy?” The call gave one final broken sound and died completely. I stopped walking and stared at the dark screen. A tired breath left me. I turned to head back to the bedroom, letting out a small smile. That was when I heard them. “The company needs you, Miles. Myron is running M&M into the ground with his wandering dick. He doesn’t listen to anyone. Not even Celeste. You need to come home.” His mother’s voice. Clear, controlled, and pretty close.

I knew right there and then who was calling. Let me down, down Let me down, down Let me down, let me down Down, let me down, down Let me down If you wanna go then I’ll be so lonely If you’re leaving baby let me down slowly If you wanna go then I’ll be so lonely If you’re leaving baby, let me down slowly I headed to the kitchen to check with a bored expression on my face. I picked up my phone and saw that it was my mom who was calling. “Hey mum, what do you want,” I ask.

"Bitch! I know you didn't just call me!" Except, the person on the call wasn't Micah. "Kaya Simeons. I keep this short and brief. I have your mother here with me and if you don't bring me ten thousand dollars, I will slit her throat." "What? Who the hell is this?" It had to be a prank. "You have until 5 in the afternoon to bring my money." "This better not be a prank or I will tell you, you can fly to hell!" "Your mother wants to speak to you."

"That doesn't make any sense. If you're not my fiancée, then how—" "Call me Mom." Silence. Complete, absolute silence. Caleb stared at me like I'd grown a second head. "What did you say?" "I said call me Mom." I rose to my feet, looking down at him. "Because while you were off playing house with your rogue girlfriend, I married your father."

**** I got to my mom's house still contemplating, shockingly the house wasn't in a good shape, I called my mom and another I heard an unfamiliar voice picked the call. "Hello is this Miss Carmine" The Caller asked and I became nervous. "Yes, I am Carmine" I replied hoping it's not what I am thinking. "Come to Five Alive hospital right Now, your mom is in a critical condition"
