He won’t let anything happen to me, to us. I struggled to keep my eyes open, a bright blue light spurting, blinding everyone around it. Orson glowed impossibly bright. Terrified wolves scooted back, leaning their head on ground. It felt as if air was cutting in half, an Orson immersed from it heaving air, struggling with his hands to keep straight outstretched.

That's strange , Come on Orion wake up . What's that noise ? I feel so groggy , something is off . Trying my hardest to do something , anything . My eyes flutter but are met with a blinding bright white light . The voices are clearer , groaning. I try one last time to open my eyes . Shielding my eyes from the light , my head's pounding and I finally recognize the voice of Haggen my Beta . “Orion , thank the goddess . Can you hear me?” Removing my hands from my eyes I manage to nod and mumble a yeah .

She knew it in her blood that Orion will do nothing to hurt her. He was a predator - but her predator who protected her. Before she could argue further, the plane shuddered violently, and warning lights bathed the cabin in an eerie red glow. "Missile lock!" the captain's voice shouted over the intercom. "Brace! Brace! Brace!" It was now or never. "Come," I said to Orion, extending my hand. Without hesitation, he took it, his large palm engulfing mine, warm and calloused and achingly familiar. The moment our skin connected, a jolt of recognition shot through me—ancient magic, the bond between fated mates, recognizing its other half.

I stepped forward, my heart pounding in my chest. And then, I saw it. A large, crystal orb that seemed to glow with an otherworldly light. The doppelganger gestured for me to approach the orb. As I touched the crystal orb, I felt a sudden jolt of energy run through my body. The room around me began to spin, and I felt myself being pulled into a vortex of colors and lights.
