Their colorful orbs turned into pitch black. "Put me down, Orora!" I knew she could kill me with a snap of her fingers and some chant spell, but I would never allow her to humiliate me this way. "Orora, you are going to regret this!" My voice came out strong and with the command of a king. She suddenly lowered her hand, putting me back on land, however, with a strong impact and loud thud. "Now, let's go back to business, shall we?!" I jeered, for I knew I had got the upper hand this time.

The ship he had supposedly died on. On the main viewscreen, an image resolved. Not of the city. Not of the garden. It was a star chart. An old one. And moving through it was a designation: OR-1. Me and Carter. Snow’s hand found the edge of the door, knuckles white. I leaned against her shoulder, straining to hear every syllable that followed. Phineas guided the Oracle to the couch, his voice gentle. “Start from the beginning. Tell me exactly what you saw.” The Oracle’s breathing hitched. She clasped her hands together so tightly her knuckles turned pale. “I saw a red sky,” she whispered. “Red like spilled blood. The air was thick with smoke and ash. Fire—everywhere. Whole cities burning. Screams.” Her voice cracked. “So much death, Phineas. It was endless.”

I feel dizzy and sick, and I don’t have a clue what’s happening to me. Yelling and screaming can be heard all around me. But I don’t know if that’s me or someone else. I clasp my hands over my stomach, but something forces them away. My body spins in Orrin’s direction, and a bright white light shoots from my stomach and slams into Orrin. The light penetrates his body and disappears from mine. I drop to my knees at the same time as Orrin, the light disappearing, and I scramble towards my mate. I grab Orrin’s face in my hands, he looks at me, and a smile breaks across his face.

I climg off of him and tries to stay on my feet and walk slowly towards my bed when I feel him behind me and I turn to realise that I made a very very stupid mistake. Right now Orion wasn't more than a predator and I was his prey he sank his fangs into my neck and even though I struggled I wasn't strong enough to fight him off. I tried to mindlink Silas but I was too weak, Orion drank to quickly and I tried so hard to make him stop but I lost consciousness. Orion POV
