Unwanted Omega

Unwanted Omega

“They need to be here as we talk about everything.” And talk we did. We discussed how shocked we all were and collectively agreed that this was uncalled for. That nobody expected this. We also looked back about their appearances, weapons, and armor. “I can understand if the orcs are like that, though. Even if they are still a little dumb. But goblins? Goblins are cute, happy go lucky creatures! How could they be violent like that!” Tori pouted. Everyone, including Vladimyr, Rori and even Sebastian, slightly coughed, albeit not really having one.

Demon's Evolution

Demon's Evolution

Sia looked at her blankly. "Pfft. Why did you nod off after reading the knights' reports?" Eliza inquired. "Don't you feel suffocated at the academy or at home? Furthermore, I detest entering dungeons when there are already a lot of people." Sia examined the documents in her hands. A goblin was illustrated on it. From the abnormal goblin that was in front of them, this goblin had an entirely different appearance. This creature had a rather orc-like appearance rather than any resemblance to a goblin. However, it was different because it had muscles instead of the protruding stomach that Orcs did, it was armoured, it had a weapon, and it was taller.

The Girl Who Unknowingly Became Harem Queen

The Girl Who Unknowingly Became Harem Queen

Goblins were greedy creatures who craved treasure and gold, both of which the Silvan Clan had and what the goblins wished to steal. Other than goblins, orcs and trolls also resided on the Murky Mountain, but rarely did these three races intangle with each other, or at least that should be the case. The boy elf leaped and paused when he spotted a goblin and orc walking together. Suspicious of the pair, he signaled to his partner for them to follow the pair.

Void Contract;Lore Breaker

Void Contract;Lore Breaker

“Sera, look at this.” “This is bad. We should contact the commander.” She noticed that one of the goblins had a slightly bluish skin and a small horn on their head. It was a stronger species, an evolved goblin called a hobgoblin. Newbies can handle a single hoblin but a horde would be fatal. Team Alpha recovered enough to move. Sera and Sven were about to inform them to retreat when the earth rumbled violently.

Frozen Heart (the Heart Series, book 2)

Frozen Heart (the Heart Series, book 2)

When they passed next to a forest, Rhobart suddenly said, “I just remembered a shortcut to the Hammer Clan. By late afternoon tomorrow, we will be reunited with the others.” “You do know shortcuts are often dangerous,” Ayla commented. “Not as dangerous as your tea.” Ayla glared at him, and he cleared his throat. “See those mountains?” he asked while pointing at the horizon. “There is a path between them. Normally it is not dangerous, but sometimes goblins will try to attack travelers who are foolish enough to get close to their cave.” Goblins were small humanoid creatures with green, leathery skin that offered some protection against the weather and weapons. They were very agile and preferre

The Crowned White Wolf (Book Two)

The Crowned White Wolf (Book Two)

Having faced Trolls and Goblins before, the Fairies and Elves knew how to defeat them. While the trolls were 10 feet tall, they were not very intelligent. Small and tricky, goblins posed a greater threat than trolls because they were unstable and chaotic. Using magical means, the Elves make the Goblins explode, leaving behind a yellow slimy goo residue. Fairies sprayed buckets of fairy dust on the Trolls, and they fell face forward, knocking down trees and destroying anything around them. "Timber!" the fairies yelled with delight

Oracles of the Moon Goddess

Oracles of the Moon Goddess

Alec said looking between Louise and I. I sigh. This shouldn’t be hard to tell them but I’m nervous. What if they look at us differently. I know being an oracle is a blessing from the Moon Goddess but some people don’t see it that way. “Louise and I are oracles.” I blurted out. Better to get it out than prolong the elevatable. “What?” Dean and Alec say at the same time. “How is that possible? There hasn’t been an oracle for decades.” I heard Robbie mutter.

The Forgotten Titan's Resurgence

The Forgotten Titan's Resurgence

Every year, The Light Council does business with the Barbarians and the Orcs, exchanging for rare and precious resources. "The Barbarians and the Orcs? Tell us more." Gideon set down his glass and pulled Winter into his arms without hesitation. Winter leaned against his firm, warm chest. Orabella said, "The Barbarians and the Orcs are among the top tribes of Asgard Plains. "The Orcs aren't like the half-human, half-beast hybrids from the movies. Instead, they're clans that coexist with beasts. You could say the Orcs is a broad term. Any human-beast cohabiting group can be called Orcs.

Queen Luna: Once Rejected, Now Ruthless

Queen Luna: Once Rejected, Now Ruthless

By the time they reached the bottom, the tunnel breathed. And then— The attack began. A massive wave of goblins poured from the left wall—vile, hunched, teeth clacking, eyes glowing red with demonic possession. From the right: orc warriors in blood-forged armor, twice Khy’s size, wielding rusted axes that shimmered with cursed mist. And from deeper in the shadows… something darker. The Mist Warden. A floating beast cloaked in smoke and screams. No face. Just black tendrils and a voice like cracked glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Man, this thread's already got some amazing shouts, but I think a lot of folks skip right over how 'Aching God' by Mike Shel handles this. It's technically in a LitRPG-ish space, but the orcs there, the so-called Skoggs, are straight-up not mindless. They've got a whole warrior-merchant caste thing going on, they hold grudges, they trade, and they have this incredibly nuanced relationship with humans that's built on cycles of violence and stolen land. It's not just 'orcs are people too,' it's 'orcs are a culture with a history of being screwed over, and now they're reacting.' The goblins are more mysterious, almost fae-like in their alien thinking, but they have rigid social structures based on scavenging and territorial magic. Shel makes you feel the weight of their entire civilization pressing down on the tomb-raiding protagonists.

On a weirder note, I always recommend 'The Grey Bastards' by Jonathan French if you want your orcs, called 'thicks' here, to be the protagonists. They're a biker-gang-style brotherhood living in a wasteland, full of their own brutal codes, political infighting, and messed-up family dynamics. Their society is built on survival, pure and simple, and it's gloriously grimy and complex. It's less about portraying a noble society and more about showing how a harsh, monstrous-looking people build structures to endure a harsh world. Makes you root for them even when they're being absolute bastards.
