Get off me!” Dale heard his voice, thin but defiant, and with a sudden surge of energy, he jerked upright, pushing at the doctor hovering over him. Before he could even travel anywhere, a blast from two of the drones rocked the ship sideways. He blooped in fright as he rolled backward, slamming into a wall and bounced to the side. He spun in a dazed circle, trying to get his bearing before turning back to us again.

“Already knows how to make himself heard.” When he stirred, Dr. Brooks leaned over, adjusting the blanket. Storm blinked up at him and made a sound that was half-giggle, half-coo. The doctor chuckled. “He’s smiling already.” Beth grinned. “Told you.” Dr. Brooks shook his head, amused. “It’s just gas.”

He argued with himself for several more minutes before the silence stretched out to an uncomfortable outburst. The footages were tampered with.
