Henry asked, the last time he saw Leah was when she was taken to the hospital because her temple was bleeding. Leah nodded, "Yeah, how are you? You just arrived?" asked Leah, seeing that Henry wasn't wearing a uniform. Henry shook his head, "I was just going home, you? You want to come inside?" "Yup, too bad you're leaving..." said Leah, pursed her lips. Henry smiled, "It's not just that Dear, I'm not working here anymore starting today, I'm going back to Paris, I got a job there, besides it's easier for me to take care of my mother if I'm nearby," said Henry who Is originally from France.

I locked my razor-sharp gaze on Henry after revealing everything, pinning him right where he stood in the crowd. Henry turned to Yvonne, his expression crumbling into disbelief. "Is this true, Yvonne?" Yvonne's eyes darted around as she stammered, "I-I've been by your side for so many years, so taking a bit of 'relationship fees' shouldn't be that big of a deal." Henry was absolutely livid, his face contorted with fury as he grabbed her by the hair. "I've bought you everything you ever asked for, and you still had the nerve to steal from me! I've seen stray dogs with more loyalty than you!"

Aurora’s POV Last night, Henry’s footsteps echoed through the penthouse earlier than usual. The door slammed shut with a force that made me jump. I had a book in my hands, the pages barely registering as my mind churned with the headlines that had mocked us all day. My cheeks burned with humiliation and my fingers tightened around the book as I heard him toss his keys onto the console. He was home early today—no club as usual. That alone was odd, a red flag that set my nerves on edge. Something was up, and I knew it.

His eyes lit up when he saw me, then flickered with confusion when he noticed Fabian. "Camryn?" He'd never learned my new name. "I didn't expect..." "We need to talk." I stepped inside before he could refuse. Fabian followed, closing the door behind us. Henry's apartment was filled with expensive furniture. Expensive art. Everything carefully arranged to broadcast wealth without actually meaning anything. "This is about Milicent's records again, isn't it?" Henry crossed his arms. "I already showed you her library. What the fuck do you want now?"

It looked impossible to find what she was looking for. "What are you doing here this late?" the voice that came behind Zoe scared her and she turned immediately to see Henry not standing far from her. "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" "I wish I could." Zoe breathed out through her mouth. "I am looking for a book titled..." " ‘How to become a better mistress?’ I know just where you find that." "There is a book titled that?" Henry nodded. "I recommended it to every of my mistresses."

I was fed up with him and his insane rants. But Henry paid no heed to my words. He went on, ignoring me. “Your essence is unique, truly intoxicating. I felt warm and alive with just a sniff. Like it doesn’t belong to this world at all.” My skin crawled as if ants were marching beneath it. How could he even say something like that? Like I was some sort of blood bag, not his nephew's wife? “It made me curious,” Henry admitted. “Very curious. That’s when I decided to test a theory.”

Henry cared less about the house because obviously, his father was rich enough to get him another one. She entered the apartment and tried locating Henry's room. The interior of the house was uttermost beautiful. Entering into his room, Eleanor wasn't surprised by the nature of rhe room. There were clothes littered every where, also the bed covers weren't well laid, and the books were scattered across the floor, a typical boy's room indeed. I removed the bracelet from my bag and placed it back on the table opposite his bed. The table had series of books and mostly were literature books. I was in disbelief that Henry could actually have a thing for literature.

“Why aren’t you also leaving? What’s your deal with me?“ Chloe questioned looking at the hot dude who refused to budge. “ I like the new Chloe, at least your gloomy aura is gone“ Henry comments with a smirk on his lips and I rolled my eyes at him. I don’t know what it is but my nose got a lot more sensitive than ever, and my sight got sharper. Henry reeks of earth and has a unique male hormone, I guess maybe it’s because he is a werewolf. Realizing that I won’t reply him, Henry came closer to me and sat on the bed. "What happened during the banquet?” “Get off my bed Henry” I refused to give him a reply, ‘am not even sure of the details myself, how would I know?’

"I didn't know you were in New York. Is everything okay?" His concern seemed genuine, but I sensed an undercurrent of tension. I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. I grunted, eyeing Henry with mild surprise. "I didn't know you were a reader." He smiled wryly, walking over to his desk. "Just a few books. That one is one of my favourites." My gaze fell on the book still clutched in my hand. "This one's a favourite of yours?" Henry nodded, his eyes sparkling with interest. "Yes, it is."

He was handsome, distinguished, and even his voice was so attractive and pleasant to listen to. His deep voice was like a cello, so pleasant that it almost made her ears pregnant. Monique quietly watched Henry finish reading the picture book. Henry's reading was no longer as stiff as last time. She stared at Henry as if she wanted to imprint it in her mind forever. After finishing reading the picture book, Henry raised his dark eyes and looked in the direction of Monique. Her short black hair fell neatly on her delicate face.
