I’m not going to give in to the fucking mate pull. I will have to get out of here before she wakes up and starts getting the wrong idea. But then she beat me to it. She opened her eyes wide, completely taken aback, but as soon as her gaze fell upon me, she gritted her teeth and put on a brave expression.

Chapter 5 Jasmine walked out of the elevator, hearing all kinds of voices in her mind. She was having an incredibly hard time focusing to block everyone out. Even she heard Amelia’s thoughts as she chanted over and over in her mind that she wouldn’t be a coward that she wasn’t afraid. It made Jasmine nervous, but she walked in confidently as she gave small smile to hide her anxiousness.

RITA’S POV My mind was running so many miles at a time as it filled with a million thoughts. I couldn’t process any thought at a time, my head was beginning to get all jumbled with scary and depressing thoughts, and for the first time in many years, I found myself back in the place I was when I was still trying to understand my powers and how to use them.

My Forever Man chapter 8 My Forever Man chapter 8 I was awoken early in the morning by the sounds of birds outside the window. As I stretched, I looked towards my bedroom window and saw a very large red bird. But not just a normal red but like glowing shiny fiery reds and he was sitting on my windowsill. It was some sort of parrot as bright as a fire! I gently and quietly got out of my bed to get a closer look. As soon as I got to the window the bird turned and looked at me. It had the deepest looking red eyes, I felt it was staring into my soul. I’m familiar with parrots of my world and this was a parrot spliced with fantasy and sci-fi madness.

Great! Just great! There’s a leak in my bedroom ceiling. Wait a minute, that’s not right. I’m not in my bedroom. I’m locked away in Dr. Chappo’s house. She remembered more. Being bound to a gurney, her body broken and dying. But I’m not lying on a gurney now, and I actually feel great. How could she be dying and still feel great? And what’s with the rain shower on my face? Slowly her eyes fluttered open, and she gasped.

It wasn't enough to light up the entire room but I could see what I needed to see. I scanned the room once more before deciding that it wasn't occupied at the moment. I rushed in and at the speed of light, cleaned the table and ran out. Completely unaware of the watchful eyes that was set on me the entire time. ############################ And that was chapter 8!!! Do u like the Princess Esmeralda? There is something wrong with me. I stumble toward the guard, trying not to let him see how badly my hands are shaking. He turns and starts up the steps without waiting for me. My stiff legs groan in protest as I follow, taking the steps one at a time. Will this keep happening? Will I keep slipping into another memory of someone? At any time? The relentless questions hammer against my skull. What if I black out in front of the Grandmasters? What if I stay stuck in those memories? If my own mind is going to betray me, I won't need the Grandmasters’ verdict to destroy me.
