"Are your ears my real grandma wolf?" Elowen Frost’s heart feels like a claw ripped it right open, and her whole frame starts shaking with happy tears. "Yes, sweetie! She is your real grandma!" Vespera Crowe answers for her, stepping up to support her thin waist with his big arm. He says firmly to the boy, "You are her true blood grandson." Elowen Frost drops her head against his big tunic, crying softly into his chest. Perhaps her alpha willpower has turned super weak because of the winter sickness in her bones. "Tell Kaelen to bring his boots back to the manor," she mutters into his shirt.

I’ll make sure to tell mom and dad the next time I see them.” Olivia busts his balls and all Owen can do is open his mouth like a fish while he tries to think of a way to backpedal while everyone else laughs.

He wanted to lock me down before I could find a way out. "It’s perfectly fine, Gamma Willow," Oliver said smoothly. "I’ve actually had my sights on Elsie for a long while. I am beyond excited to be mated to her tomorrow." I sat down across from him, staring at his throat. I wasn't listening to his words anymore; I was busy thinking of all the ways I could kill him.
