Page 69 Big Book Novels & Stories

I got a bit tired and decided to keep the book and get some rest but when I stood up, the book left down and opened up again. I groaned in annoyance and picked the book up but something instantly caught my attention. I quickly flipped back to that page and when my eyes went over it again just to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, I nearly jumped up in joy. Right there on page 56, was the recipe for a love potion.

Becky asked again. The lady took her hand and take her towards the giant book name “Prophetic Gaze “which has a silver shiny cover. It has a huge golden lock. “What is this giant book”. Becky asked while touching the sparking cover of the book. As she touches the book cover, the strong rays emit from the book and glow the area around it. It is more like a dream. Becky felt a sudden jolt in her fingers which touch the area. She became shocked looking at the book and immediately pull her hand back.

moving on to the next page. The husband, i paused at that, did i skip a page? my eyes travel to the previous page yeah, i was just reading on the capo i expected a continuation from there not another topic entirely. when my eyes travel to the bottom of the page it said page 4, on the next page its numbered page 18. what the hell? It seems some pages are missing, when I take a closer look at the middle of the book gasped, more like ripped out. "Some pages are missing" I said out loud.

I place the crackers on the table just inside the door as I make my way over to the desk. A large book is open on top of the papers. I turn the book around so I can see what is written on the pages. At the top of the page there is a picture of a large Silver Wolf. Tracing my fingers delicately over the image of the wolf, my heart begins to race. River pushes forward to look at the pages with me. The words on the page are handwritten and some of the writing is beginning to fade.

Nigel Senior growled, leaning in dangerously, "before I just have to suck it outta you myself." "You dirty old man," she snapped, rolling her eyes, "don't tempt me." Then, her expression sharpened. She snatched the Book of the Gods, glanced cautiously out the window to make sure the kids weren't eavesdropping, and opened the massive tome to page 269. She waved her palm over it, muttering an incantation under her breath, and words shimmered onto the pages like molten silver. "Whoa..." Nigel Senior gulped, genuinely impressed, his grizzled face lighting up. "You're amazing."

It was bittersweet. I sat in the dining room for a little while, picking at the fruit, flipping another page. After a while, I slipped outside. The air was warm, but not too hot. I curled up on one of the lounge chairs under the shade, pulling my knees to my chest, the book still open in my lap. My eyes were tired, but I couldn’t stop. Page after page. I didn’t even realize how deep I’d fallen in until I caught something strange. There was a different page, near the back. Another handwritten note. Six’s handwriting. I lightly traced the pattern like I could touch him.

That I could handle. “Of course,” I answer, forcing a steady calm into my voice, even as I swallow down frustration. I turn back into the room, stepping carefully over Selene, who lies curled up in sleep on the trundle bed. Kael, with a triumphant little grin, lifts a book that could crush my soul. Its sheer bulk makes my heart falter—it is enormous, heavy, endless. It might as well be The Never-ending Story, because the sight of it alone is enough to make me want to collapse. Five hundred pages, at least. Please, I beg silently, let there be giant lettering on every page. One word. Big and bold.

I lay down on my stomach, placing the book in front of me. It was large and heavy. Just for fun, I flipped to the back—there were no fewer than four hundred and forty-nine pages in the book. And that was only volume one! I wondered how many volumes there were in total. I opened the big book and could smell the traces of time in it. All I hoped for was that it wouldn’t be too dry to read.
