The title page and table of contents looks normal, but I keep flipping pages to get to chapter one. Two more pages and I’m staring at the first chapter, titled “Finding a Companion.” I almost missed the title completely because my eyes were drawn to the center of the page where there was a rectangular shaped wooden box. All the pages had been cut through the center to fit this box inside, and there was something carved into the box. I touch its glass cover and to my surprise, it vanishes in just a snap. The book floats mid-air and emits blinding light. It starts glowing and the pages start to turn. A few moments afterward, the pages stop turning. The glow starts to vanish, and the book moves toward my hand. Just like the book I was reading earlier, it has a leather hardbound cover and its title are embroidered with gold. 'The Untold' I said as I've read the title. I crossed my legs and laid the book on my lap, gently wiping my hand across the front cover. As if the book knew I was ready to recieve what was inside, it began to glow. My eyes traced the same page again and again. The girl sitting across from me flipped through six pages in the time it took me to understand one definition. My jaw tightened. I reached for my phone. My thumb hovered over one app before pressing it. The screen opened immediately. Simple and clean with no bright colors, no unnecessary buttons. Exactly the way Raphael had designed it. The app read every paragraph aloud while highlighting each word one at a time. The font automatically changed into one my brain found easier to process. Long paragraphs broke themselves into smaller pieces. Important concepts appeared as diagrams instead of walls of text.
