Suddenly, the book flipped open and the pages began to flutter back and forth. I stood up in shock, knocking my chair over as I did. The sound of the chair clattering against the floor broke Miriam from her thoughts. She grinned as she saw the book, laying open to a page labeled "Hybrids". "Miriam." I sputtered. "What was that? That book just moved and flipped pages on its own. That's not any kind of fae magic I've ever seen." She looked at me, amusement in her eyes. "I told you, it's my book, it responds to me. I'm spirit fae, and while I may not know much about what that means, I do know that I have a connection to dark magic."

That was when I noticed the low blue glow coming from the living room. The television was off. The light was coming from a laptop open on the coffee table. I should have turned around and gone back upstairs. Instead I walked closer. Daniel was on the couch in just a pair of dark shorts. The laptop screen faced him. I couldn’t see the video clearly from the doorway, but I could hear it—soft, wet sounds and a woman’s low moaning. His right hand was inside his shorts, moving in a slow, tight rhythm. His head was tipped back against the cushion, eyes half-closed, jaw tight.

No two people see the painting the same. Jennifer went to the Coffee Shop and meet Paul. She explained to Paul that Lillie had a painting of her covered in blood. She was afraid that Lillie had put a spell on her to kill her. Paul assured Jennifer that was not the case. Lillie would never kill anybody. She only tries to scare people. The spell will not work if you do not believe in them. She only uses it to get her way.

I meet a smiling Ciel standing right outside, his smile radiating to me as I shyly touch my hair and open the door wide enough to let him in. “Are you busy? Sorry to intrude” He says to me and I shake my head with a bubbling smile, “Not at all, I was only immersing myself in paranormal fiction”. I had gotten the book from Welma who fiercely suggested I read it so we would gingerly discuss it tomorrow. Now, I’m not so proud of my novel reading skills at all. I’m more of a comic reader in this aspect.

They or we? The other party that threw our world into chaos was the self-proclaimed animal welfare organization Live for Animals.
