“What do you want, Parisa?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” She tilts her head, her sharp canines flashing in a wicked smile. “I’ve been trying to find a way to break your pack’s defenses for an entire month, but here you are, camping in the forest without your pack. It’s as if you’re asking to die.”
“Over our dead bodies,” I spit out, defiance coursing through me despite the fear that grips my heart. I won’t go down that easily. Hell no.
But Parisa doesn’t look one bit afraid of my tone. “Over your dead bodies, huh? Oh, I do like the sound of that,” she purrs before raising her hand and snapping her fingers. “Destroy them.”
