Pastry Cookie X Red Velvet Cookie Novels & Stories

Kaleb's pov I stared at the ingredients on the countertop, my arms folded as I glared. I blinked and some flour dusted off my lashes and fall to the floor. I pressed my lips into a frown. I had everything to make the perfect red velvet cake for my girl's birthday tomorrow. Red velvet cake was Bailey's favorite and I wanted to bake her it myself. Unfortunately mom didn't bless me with a baker's hands and I was failing miserably. This was my third batch of batter and I mistakenly added too much salt in this one. I groaned, wiping my hand down the white now batter covered apron.

He looked so calm, so peaceful. He twirled me around and my head landed on his chest. I could hear Vayden's heartbeat. It was fast, like mine. He took a deep breath and whispered in my ear, "I will release Sandreo if you make pastries for me by yourself. You know, I love that red velvet pastry you make every new year." My breath hitched. I loved cooking, especially pastries. Every new year, I sent a box of different flavored pastries to the Bevine mansion for my friends, including Allison, Everley, Revina, and Rio. Also, for Ruby and Vexon.

She said and excused us while a different person brought in cupcake samples. "These are all three flavors of your wedding cake, chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. the last piece is red velvet to fill in the four orders of the cupcake," he opened the plastic platter and showed us the samples of the cupcake, "They look so pretty," I said. "You can taste them," He urged us.

"There's the Mint Chocolate, the Hazelnut Almond cake which is the usual favorite for people the same age as your mother. Less sugar, but even more taste—" "My Mother loves sugar." He cut in flatly and I hummed. "Well, there's also the key lime. Experimental but it's pretty good as well and the good old-fashioned red velvet." I forced a smile to my lips, watching him dip a fork into all the cakes for the taste. I pushed a hard lump down my throat, his silence was unnerving. I watched his mouth dance to the taste of the cakes. "Hmm," He nodded. "So which do you recommend?" He wiped his mouth with a napkin. His voice was low and helpless.

I took his hand and guided him to the kitchen, “Please let's do what we came here for.” Floor, fat, egg, sweetners, flavourings I told him him bring a bag of flour and he brought it for me, he brought three crated of eggs. I mixed my secret ingredients and poured it in. We added flavourings and after making the batter we stored in the freezer. “This should be enough batter, right?” I asked Alessandro pointing at the barter. “Just this?” he asked. “Is it not enough?” “How many cupcakes and confectioners can this make?”

I wasn't quite sure what to do with that, but I held it close to my heart anyways. "What flavors are you doing?" he asked me. My lips quirked without looking up from the batter for the second layer. The first layer was already in the oven. "American Waffles, Peanut Butter, Red Velvet, Mississippi Mud, Cookies n' Cream, Chocolate Mint, and plain Vanilla." He gave a low whistle. "All of those mix well together?" He looked doubtful when I glanced up at him.

She asked holding out the plastic wrap. "Are they home made?". "Of course they are Hazel... I made them myself". Hazel took a cookie and bit into it. "hmm, so yummy!" she compliments, stuffing the rest into her mouth and reaching for a piece of pastry. Now all barrier broken, Lesley sat down on the bed beside her. "I could make many of these Hazel." Lesley mutters "Really?". she asked absentmindedly, dealing with the delicacies. "Yeah.... we'd bake them together." Hazel smile widened.

Opening the bin of peanut butter cookies I made this morning, or maybe yesterday since I still don’t know what day it is, I count them. There are eleven. I made twelve. And I haven’t eaten one yet. But peanut butter cookies happen to be a favorite of Aaron Kensington’s.

I start walking back to the kitchen, hearing Coco sigh and mumble something under his breath, "Caramel!" "Here!" When I'm in, the first thing I see are the cakes on the counter before I turn to the male wearing a brown apron with some flour around his face, "F-Five cakes?" Each of them were of three colours. Red, White, Yellow, Dark brown and Light brown. "Velvet, Angel cake, Chocolate, Creme and Vanilla." He says proudly before seeing the look on my face and cowering a bit, "I-I didn't know which one you preferred and I thought that one cake wouldn't be enough, considering how you eat."

The ingredients lay sprawled on the counter: flour, sugar, eggs, chocolate, vanilla extract, and a myriad of decorations. I’ve decided on a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting—her absolute favorite. As I start mixing the batter, a shadow unexpectedly looms over me. Startled, I nearly drop the whisk.
