He did not even look this happy when he had won the Science Olympiad a year ago. "Of course you are." I stood on the tip of my toes and gave his cheek a kiss. "So, what is that?" I pointed at the stick he was holding. Hunter looked surprised. "You do not know?" He brought the stick closer until I could finally see what it was. It was a replica of the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in the history of magic wands. "Did you put the pieces back again? I remember Harry broke that one in Deathly Hallows."

We didn't go to peddocks like the last time, this time we were making our way towards the front of the stable. My eyes immediately fell on Ginger, her chestnut coat shining in the sunlight as she stood quietly near the stable entrance. Next to her was a sleek white horse that seemed familiar. “That’s Pegasus, right?” I asked Harry, recalling the name he had mentioned when I saw the horse. Harry nodded, patting the horse on the neck with a fond smile. “Yep, my faithful friend here is Pegasus. Right, baby?” Pegasus didn't react, he kept eating the grass and keeping to himself.

The children in the line gasps, and the chest snaps open. In the chest on a velvet pillow lies a sharp sapphire, and the Headmistress announces. "A sapphire. Apt for a telekinetic." The witches gathered burst into a cheer and clap loudly as the little girl grins, clutching the sapphire. "She'll get that in the necklace form before she starts class," Leita states. "Her aspect belongs to the paranormal category like Matron Aldar's does." “This all looks very Harry Potter-esque.” I muse. Ophelia hears this and shoots me a dirty look. “Do not speak the name of that book in my presence, I beg you.”

It was the second time I burned myself with my cup of tea. I had recently bought it when I discovered an internet store about literary articles, and I instantly fell in love with the Harry Potter-themed cup that only required the coat of arms belonging to the book when it was filled to the top by a smoking liquid. Most of the time, I just filled it with water just to have the pleasure of seeing the dark color giving way to the brightness that contained the drawing of the most famous magnificent witchcraft school in the literary world.

But her excitement and conviction made me believe that it was real. "Wait, so there are actually people with magical powers?" I asked, trying to wrap my head around this new information. "Yes, and it's not just limited to humans. There are also fantastic creatures like dragons, unicorns, and even talking paintings," She replied, her eyes sparkling with wonder. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It sounded like a world full of endless possibilities and adventure. "And the best part is, Harry Potter, the famous wizard, goes to Hogwarts too. He's the chosen one, destined to defeat the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort," Renee continued, her voice filled with excitement.

But due to the appearance of the lady boss, I had thought Draco was changing, but it seems he was still the feared devil in the underworld. I could already hear the heart wrenching screams as soon as we got out of the elevator and entered the corridor, making our way to the room at the end of the hallway. The pungent smell of blood and sweat and rotten body parts due to wounds on some of the prisoners that were left untreated filled our nostrils, but Draco seemed unfazed as he took calculated and controlled steps towards the door. Draco made his way to the huge chair that was reserved for him anytime he came around to watch and sat down like a king. Only that he looked like the king of hell.

A pout instantly formed on Everine’s mouth as she took a step back. I didn't know what to say, so I offered a bow and the most formal statement I could muster: “I present the Silver Stag.” When I straightened up, I saw the attention of one of the Prefects snap immediately to the Stag’s leg, where the tell-tale streak of dried blood was visible. “Uh, it got caught on one of my traps,” I quickly explained, hoping my lie would hold. “That’s—” one of the Prefects started, then seemed to catch himself. He cleared his throat and simply finished, “Well done.”

We sat and spread out our materials, chattering back and forth about everything, training routines, nymph gossip, and whether or not Seraphina's hair was real or magically inflated (verdict: enchanted rat's nest). I was just highlighting a section on relic bonding theory when the air shifted. Everything went silent. Even the damn breeze held its breath. Then... he appeared. A stag, white as snow, tall and regal, glowing faintly like starlight had been poured into his bones. Antlers twisted like ivory branches and eyes like liquid moonlight locked onto mine. None of us moved. Aster's hand trembled, her eyes huge. Kyren froze mid sentence. The stag stepped forward with deliberate grace and bow
