I had almost forgotten about the curse until Hera announced Hazel’s plan of arriving here for me. I immediately panicked, not knowing how to ward her off me. “I’m sure the curse was a hoax. You haven’t shifted into a Grypwolf even once, Stav,” said Leandros. Zephyrus shook his head, his eyebrows drawn together as he watched me. “These shamans are powerful. Their curses work. Stav will turn into a Grypwolf only in Hazel’s presence when he wants to claim her.” My heart constricted with fear. No, I couldn’t afford to accept Hazel as my mate. I couldn’t claim her.

Why the hell did I follow Nox here? The girl squeaked, scrambling off the desk she’d been bent over. She clutched a blanket to herself and bolted past us. I wanted to run too, but my feet wouldn’t move. “Where is the patrol team that was supposed to guard the woods?" Nox demanded, his voice colder than I’d ever heard it. “I don’t appreciate having to cover myself in blood because some rogue wolves think they can stroll through my territory.” When I looked up again, a towel hung loosely around Hunt’s waist now, but his chest was still bare, the raw power of his body on full display.

Atrocious replied, rubbing an orb on the armrest of his chair. "Reveal? What do you have to reveal?" Draco raised an eyebrow, realizing that it must be serious if Atrocious was acting this way. Atrocious was never one to think or worry so much about anything and when he does, it meant it was something to be taken very seriously. Atrocious sighed heavily, picked up the orb, and muttered a spell. The orb became surrounded by a mist of emerald color, and an obscure figure appeared within it. "It's a curse. Your brother, the Alpha King, is cursed."

Then the doctor ran in as we stepped back and Xavier growled as he was male, unmated and unmarked as far as we could tell. "I came as quickly as I could, alpha, what's going on?" he asks, looking at the unconscious girl in front of me. A gasp of fear and shock escapes him and he backs away. "You have to kick her out!! I cannot treat her! She's the Cursed Rogue!! She matches the description perfectly! Alpha, she cannot-" I snapped. "SILENCE!" Xavier roared. It was rare for our wolves to actually speak on their own like that without their human counterpart, but in this instance, I was right along with him. The doctor instantly closed his mouth and bowed his head in submission.

"You have to understand that the Alpha is under a curse and the only person that can help him break it is that girl and that's why they are bonded together," he explained. "Curse…! I think I have a brief knowledge of that," she said. "I am telling you all this so that you won't feel worse when you find him in the arms of another woman. They are fated mates," he said.

It took me some time to register but I did start to analyze his condition. And then it began to make sense. He was cursed! He didn't want a seer to hurt them, he wanted to know the prophecy. I then knew why he was so strong yet so miserable, why I could feel a mist around him. It wasn’t a mist; it was a curse that was always with him. "Argh!" he broke free from the nightmare and sat up with an accelerated breaths and his eyes changing colors, keeping showing signs of transition to his wolf form.

He smirked as he watched his Beta fix herself, her lips swollen from the force of his kisses. He had never felt so fucking accomplished. He reached for the door and opened it when she was finally presentable, everyone so serious that it was almost as though the last ten minutes had never happened. Almost. “What is it?” Killian barked harshly at the pack warrior who had dared to interrupt his ‘meeting’ with his Beta. “It’s the Curers, Alpha,” Came the anxious reply, “They’ve managed to breach the Pack Borders!”

I ignored his stare and placed my cigarette in my mouth, drew a deep one and blew the smoke into the air. “I heard you were cursed while you were still in your mother’s womb” I smirked. I wouldn’t be surprised about how news spread in the werewolf pack, I mean, we move faster than regular people, so obviously our news should spread. “By your fucking goddess, yes. I heard too, Alpha. It was a really unpleasant curse but you know one thing, I loved how the spell was spoken and placed. Damn! That woman must be related to Williams Shakespeare” I said referring to the goddess.

*ROAR* Asherah’s expression grew pale upon seeing this. Absolution was one of the harder techniques to use. The Insidious Seal may have blocked Pazuzu’s bloodline power, but it could not suppress techniques that he created on his own. She had ignored this crucial fact and had lowered her defences.
