I shook snow from my pelt and stretched my body out again, cracking my spine. Moments later, Skye emerged in human form, squinting in the sudden blinding light. He wrapped his arms around his middle and shivered. "Fuck its cold.” He grumbled. “Let me see your paws." Skye began tearing strips off his shirt and gave me a pointed look when I huffed at him. "Kendra, your paws are bleeding. You can't just expect me to not treat them." I huffed but lay down so that Skye could tie the makeshift bandages to my feet.

Skye beamed like a 60 watt bulb. "It wasn't by THAT much," she said, trying not to hurt her mother's feelings, something that truly touched Devi. She gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek and pulled herself out of the water. Skye was in heaven. She didn't know what she was feeling but she knew that she was beyond happy. They pair got up and dried off and then walked back towards the sauna.

Skyler’s POV Startled by a piercing howl reminiscent of Neo, my body instinctively springs up from the table, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and concern. Without wasting a second, I rush towards the nearest window, eagerly scanning the surroundings for any sign of my mate.
