My eyes, still bronze, caught the dull light of the sky, but behind them, a deep, silent fire was burning. "I am Skye," I said, my voice quiet, but carrying the weight of the mountain beneath our feet. "And I don't yield."

"Who's kicking Skye out of the company?!" I froze, stunned for a moment. 'Old Mr. Fraser?!'

Tears no longer flow, for tears cause his anger and more punishments. Mother and I silently cleaned the kitchen while Pa drank his beer and watched the basketball game. While we were doing the dishes, Mother whispered as Will and Frankie sat at the table, “Leave tonight, out your window after your Pa leaves.” She glanced over her left shoulder, worried that Pa heard her. “Go to Shelbie’s, I cleared it with Dominic. Please?” there was desperation in her voice.

Little Osiris is huddled in his mother's arms, trying to hide his little face from the angry mob threatening to kill them. "I tell you what," the Alpha finally smirks. "I will give you a head start." Skye doesn't need to be told twice. She takes off, running toward the forest. As she runs, her body morphs and shifts. I try to keep up with her, but she is too fast. The last I see is a golden lycan running away from the mob. Osiris's little face is peering over her shoulder, watching his home fade into the distance.

They stop right before they can bulldoze over me. “She’s asleep,” I whisper. “She said she caught my scent and followed it. Isn’t it a bit early for that?” Katarina lifts Skye off my body and secures her in her arms. Skye only shifts slightly, but sleep still has a hold on her. We watch them walk to the packhouse. “I don’t know, man. Katarina said she felt nothing while she was growing up, so she doesn’t think she should have any powers or anything.”

˙❥ VALKYRIE Our feet dug into the damp earth as we plunged deeper into the forest. Our footsteps were hushed on stones and tall grasses. “You are sure we won't be caught?” My voice came out shaky. Almost trembling. “Yeah. This is where Azi takes her training.” Skye gave me a brief glance. He was ahead, his body snatched and fit within his slightly-tight warrior coat. He moved seamlessly, like he didn't have two Omegas trailing behind him, who might be punished if caught.

I said, my voice tight. "I know." Zeviar floored the accelerator. The G-Wagon surged forward, and the wolves on the flanks scrambled to keep up. Some fell back, others held their ground, the formation refusing to break, no matter the speed. "Sky… what's she got?" He was looking at me, waiting for me to relay anything useful from Sky.

Fi asked sternly yet in a patient manner as she watched his hands shake by his sides. "This... is this a joke to everyone?" Skye asked quietly, causing Fi to blink but remain composed. "They used me and now when one of them is suffering in silence they do nothing! How is it fair that they get away with taking away everything from me?!" Skye yelled, feeling more anger flow through his veins, to their surprise a lamp that rested by the table exploded from his anger causing glass to hit the floor like heavy rain. Skye placed a hand to his face as he paced angrily.

Ok I agree. Pax and Nisha first come and greet Sky, sniffing around her, and Nisha gently nips her ear affectionately. Sky seems to like it as she does it back too. Pax looks to be getting inpatient and sets off running quickly through the forest, I know Nisha won’t be far behind as she is ever so competitive. She is soon giving chase to Pax. Sky is soon running, and feeling her running through the forest, picking up her speed to catch up with Pax and Nisha, the sensation of running is exhilarating, the air is whistling past, as tree by tree flies past, the speed Sky is running is disturbing the leaves below her feet.
