Marcus ran a hand down his face, exhaling heavily. “There are werewolf hunters near the territory. Too close.”
My jaw tightened. “How close?”
“Close enough to be a problem. With the pack run happening, I can’t leave to handle it myself. I need you to go, take some men—”
“You want me to,” I said flatly, cutting him off.
Marcus nodded, his tone grim. “Yes.”
My hands curled into fists at my sides. The hunters were becoming a bigger problem again. Even after we’d destroyed LyRI months ago, they were rebuilding, finding new ways to hunt us, to capture wolves.
