He bent down, his hands shaking as he lifted Tamara into his arms. “We can’t go to a hospital,” I told him.

He suddenly smirked, giving Jaida a quick glance. "You sure you're up to this?" he asked her, still keeping his eyes on the sky. Jaida turned her attention upwards as well and watched in awe as the sky began opening. The clouds were parting, forming a circular passage. The wall of clouds was still swirling slowly as the sky soon began changing beyond it. Instead of blue, she could see what looked like a soft shade of red. It was beautiful, like looking up into the heavens. Both she and Mr. Owens were amazed, but Arius and Nero were so used to it that this was almost like a normal happening.
