She felt as if she were outside of herself, looking down, and she became more and more confused. She read. And read. And read. Finally, it hit her like a lightning bolt: this book, it was hers. Her journal. The journal of a teenage girl. A story of coming of age. Of going back in time. Of falling in love with a man named Caleb. Of having a daughter named Scarlet. Of becoming a vampire. She wondered if she were losing her mind. Was this some sort of practical joke? Some sort of fantasy she’d had as a young girl? What was it doing here? How did her grandmother have it? And why was she only drawn to open it now, at this time?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: SO THE BOOK TWO WILL BE STARTING IN THE NEXT TWO CHAPTERS. IT WILL BE ABOUT RHEA AND LUCIEN. I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS CHAPTER! RHEA'S POV: It takes so much longer for me to find sleep now. Ever since the dragon tore the sky apart, my dreams have shifted. They aren’t peaceful or empty anymore. They are full of whispers and ancient melodies I don't recognize, etched in the spaces between sleep and waking.

However, I have decided to pause book 8 and go back in order to do it justice, not only for the series and myself but, more importantly, for you, the readers. I am going to share something a little personal about myself - I am a perfectionist as well as AuDHD, and because this story and overall series has grown since I first started into having so many characters and plot points that intertwine, it proved extremely difficult to keep track of and keep it straight, which is why I made this decision to go back to the beginning and write it in order. Book 1 is The Rebellious Alpha. Book 2 is The Beta's Feral Alpha, which I am currently writing. Then we will have 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and finally 8, whi

He tilted his head and smiled at me. Whatever Alpha Jackson was saying went in one ear and out another. He didn’t want to use his family’s chalice because of what his dad did to me? My mouth opened, but nothing came out. Instead, I watched as Piercy cut his psalm and let the blood drip into the cup. Instead of offering me the knife, he took my hand and cut me.

I will reveal all this and more in the novels that follow. Order of the Ambersky Pack Series: 1. Wolves & Magic (completed) 2. A Dark Revenge (TBD)

The tugging sensation begins again, growing more and more intense as I continue to hold on, as the feeling intensifies I close my eyes and let it take me where it will. Splat! I make the mistake of gasping for breath and the taste of both mud and excrement fill my mouth. Spitting, I stand up noticing in the journey that I have dropped the pendant. Taking a look around, I wonder if this is where the heir has been hidden all this time. Reaching down I pick up the pendant and wipe it off on my cloak. I barely have time to do this before the sensation of tugging once more overwhelms me and the world blurs away. *************************************************************************************

Peace That's what there was but it would not prevail because in the next second the silent sky was decorated with striking lights of thunder. The dead silence was filled by roaring winds and drops of rain got mixed with the blood of the bodies lying in between. The uncounsious souls whose hands were interwined were now exchanging currents of blue electricity and the bleeding wounds on his body were now leaking with currents instead of blood.

My mind is racing with different thoughts – where is Jason , and is Nicole with him? I finally get up to our level and I slowly walk in the abandoned hall way. Its so silent , except the light chattering I could hear from the hall. I continue to walk until I hear two voices. I can not hear what they say , but all I know is that the voices belong to Jason and Nicole - and that is coming from his office which is at the end of the passage. I slowly walk towards the office , trying to make out what they are saying. As I come near the office , I noticed that they are not speaking any more.
