She picked it up (messing up her hair), and then looked up to see if the girl would apologize. But she was nowhere to be seen, having already moved on in the swarm. She did hear laughter, but couldn’t tell if it was directed at her. She clutched her journal, the one thing that grounded her. It had been with her everywhere. She kept notes and drawings in every place she went. It was a roadmap of her childhood.

As I fingered through the book, with no title, words began to glow and singed onto the worn parchment like magic. Inanna had stirred and I could feel the Lycan blood in me shift, each drop moving and flowing like lava through my veins and my eyes lit up like beacons absorbing the words from the page. It startled me and I dropped the book to the floor. As the thud of the heavy leather hit the floor and echoed throughout the endless room, books started flying off the shelves, pages fluttering towards me in a whirl of turbulence, surrounding me like a twister.

I thought it was about the place called Santorini that is known for its beautiful architectural design- but I was wrong. The first 10 pages of the book are written in different languages. And every end of each page has a word 'code conduct- Sovrano' it's weird because there's no name of the author written. But the question in my mind answered when I saw the 11th page of the book.

The source of the flames, the torch lay fallen on its side. “Gods, what have I done?!” Mare cried, her eyes wide with panic as she shot forward to retrieve the burning torch. Perci grabbed her and at the same time, the wooden book in his hand slipped between his fingers, landing in the flames. “No!” he screamed. The book may be made from dragonwood but it was not infallible to the flames that began to lick the edges. Perci reached forward to save it, ignoring the rising fire as it consumed the dusty, dried pages of books, gaining more fuel to grow angrier.

"Fenrir fulfilled his dark purpose." "Yes." "Seraphina fulfilled hers." "Yes." "And what of the Child of Dawn?" The man's smile widened, an unsettling glimmer in his eye. "He exceeded every single expectation." He placed a heavy, leather-bound journal onto the stone table, the ancient dust swirling around it. The faded gold lettering on the cover read: *The Book of the First Age*. He flipped the heavy parchment pages open to the very final leaf. Inside was a meticulously detailed ink portrait. It wasn't a drawing of Fenrir, nor Elyria, nor the cosmic Seven Keepers. It was a portrait of a fierce young man with piercing golden eyes.
