Percy is seated on the floor beside the shelves, reading something on his tablet. His hair is packed up into a bun, and he’s dressed like he’s walking a runway. That’s just the Percy look if I’m being honest. I had a girl dump me because someone said Percy was interested in dating... he wasn’t. Even I could tell that rumor was fake but she didn’t want him to know she was associated with me, in case it was true.

“Back the fuck off, creep. She clearly doesn’t want you near her.” Girad displayed that polished and charming smile again so Percy would step away thinking there was no problem. “This is between me and my girlfriend.” He turned to me with the same smile that held a warning gaze beneath. “Corleone, tell your little friend here that we’re working things out.” I swallowed hard. The fear was choking me, but Percy’s solid presence gave me a thread of courage. “I am not your girlfriend anymore,” I snapped in a low voice, then my voice got loud. “This is Girad. My ex.”

I blushed, letting my eyes fall. “no, I don’t have a boyfriend.” I told them. “yes she does; in fact, we are running away from him right now and it is the reason we are going to this club.” Mara said and I pinched her immediately to keep her shut, Jason was not my boyfriend. “ooohh, I love it” Hermes said and then turned to whisper to his girlfriend, Athena who suddenly laughed almost like a robot and then kept quiet just as suddenly. We picked up his friend who introduced himself as Zeus, I was beginning to feel like it probably had to do with their obsession with Greek gods rather than their parents but kept all that to myself.

"Percy, why don't you come with me to the bar? I need to talk to you." I started walking over and Percy followed. "Careful Percy, she's a cruel tease!" Kellan yelled from behind us. I flipped him off as we kept walking. I could see Kiran still working away behind the bar. I wonder who his girlfriend is? What's she look like?
