Too Broken To Be Loved

Too Broken To Be Loved

Now they were ash. When I finally calmed down enough to look at Colton — really look at him — I saw something I wasn’t ready for. Pain. Longing. A desperate ache that made my chest tighten. He wanted to be the one comforting me. He wanted to be the one I ran to. He wanted to be the one I trusted. But I’m not ready for that. I’m not ready for him. I’m too broken for a mate bond. Too damaged for something that pure.

His Broken Vow

His Broken Vow

Her chest pain intensified even further. "Honey," her mother cooed softly, opening her arms. Bella crumbled into her embrace. The warmth should have comforted her, yet it only highlighted how shattered she felt within her. Her voice broke as she sobbed, "Mum, Marcus rejected me." "My mate rejected me." The words felt bitter on her tongue. Expressing thoughts verbally made them feel more genuine. She had wished—prayed—that this was a terrible dream from which she would awaken. However, it was not.

Broken Night

Broken Night

In his time as a True Crime writer, Byron had interviewed many people, many of them disturbed or troubled in some way. In these interviews, he would often run up against what he called The Breakdown, to the point where, due to the pressures of telling him their story a person would hit an unknown well of feelings and just… shut down, usually in a maelstrom of tears. They always recovered but it was at a point that Byron always hated, even dreaded.

Beyond Broken

“I’m not going to hurt you.” “I don’t know that. You say you aren’t going to hurt me, but the way you act sometimes hurts me. One day you treat me like you want me. Then the next you’re telling people I don’t mean anything to you. That we are only friends. I can’t take that. Not from you. I’m already broken, Dmitry. But you the power to shatter me.” His eyebrows wrinkled together. “Dani. For days now, I have been trying to tell you how I feel.”

The CEO's Lavender Marriage

The CEO's Lavender Marriage

The mirror invites Perci to see his soul and the condition of his heart, to look past physical features. He sees nothing but a man in his 40's, single and broken. 'I wish I had not met you again.' He broke the mirror; it was the last mirror in his room because the rest is broken. A crack runs across the glass, finding the weaknesses that were once small. From a perfect mirror to something that is unrecognizable. He watches each fragment fly outward until they lie still yet vicious on the Marmol floor. Breaking glass has become his art and comfort. A Queen Among Snakes

A Queen Among Snakes

I say glumly. “Why do you think that?” She asks, her tone sounding sad. “I’m broken and damaged. This should go to someone… who isn’t,” I say dejectedly. “You have been broken – physically and mentally – that’s true, but why does that make you undeserving of such a gift? The way I see it, it means you’re someone who can understand its significance and who will use it wisely,” she says as she locks her eyes with mine. “Did you know, when a broken bone is healing, during that time, that broken place in the bone becomes its strongest part? Being broken isn’t a personality flaw. It shows us just how strong we truly are.”

I absolutely loved this book. It was such a welcome change to have a timid and sweet main character. The writing is so great, and had me in tears multiple times. my heart broke and soared along with the story. I would highly recommend this book!

i thought book 2 couldn't possibly live up to book 1 but i am so happy to be wrong. this just moved the entire series forward and was even better than the first. i think i'm a huge Mei stan now and am so excited to start the next book. i rarely cry at books, but this one got me several times.

Bound by Fangs and Blood

Bound by Fangs and Blood

"I don't know. Would it be enough for you?" "I don't know either. But it might be better than this emptiness." She turned to face me. "Adam, I'm broken. Fundamentally broken. And I don't think I can be fixed. So maybe I need to learn to be broken differently. In a way that's less damaging to everyone around me." "You're not damaging us."

Lost & found: A Sister Reclaimed

Lost & found: A Sister Reclaimed

Unavoidable truth that couldn't be denied or rationalized away. Hale's expression didn't break into visible emotion. But something behind it did, I could see it in his eyes. Something small shifting. But real and irreversible. "Temporary setback," he said, already trying to reframe defeat. "Systems can be rebuilt." I shook my head slowly, each movement deliberate. "No." A beat of silence. "Permanent. Once broken, never truly perfect again." That word landed like a verdict in a trial, final and irreversible. Because systems like his, built on assumptions of absolute control—

The Billionaire Lycan King's Rejected Heiress

The Billionaire Lycan King's Rejected Heiress

It wore every version of us we had ever been, every version we had ever feared we might become. And it spoke — in a thousand voices, all at once, loud and terrible and familiar. You built a world on broken things. You built peace on mistakes. You built hope on people who were flawed and weak and wrong. You were rejected. You were cast aside. You were broken. And everything you made is built out of broken pieces. How can broken pieces ever hold anything whole? How can people like you ever be strong enough to keep it safe? It swelled larger, dark light swirling thick around it, pulling every shadow and every fear from every corner of the land into itself.
