Vivienne moaned, before hurrying over to the door where the girl was leaning to open it. She turned to see the human pulling a long wire that was connected to her neck. When she looked at the man before her, she didn’t see a person who probably had a wife and kids at home. She saw a disgusting creature that prevented her from her revenge and held her trapped with silver. With a rabid growl, Lily leaped at him and he cried out in surprise. The human tried to flee, but she was faster. She swiped her powerful paw across his face, causing his head to snap to the right with a sickening crack and he crumpled to the floor like a rag doll.

The ocean sparkled outside. Sunlight warmed the floor. God. Everything calm. Fair. Meanwhile Lily sat nearby drawing. Reasonable honestly. Or attempting to. Most of her attention remained fixed on Peanut. God. Naturally. Fair. Then it happened. Reasonable. Lily leaned closer to show one of her drawings. God. A masterpiece. Fair. Apparently a dolphin. Her blonde ponytail bounced as she turned to Lily, curiosity already lighting up her face. “What did you do yesterday?” Ella asked, leaning in close. Lily’s face lit up. “I went to the zoo!” she exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement. Ella’s eyes widened. “The zoo?” “Yeah! Mommy, Daddy, me, and Sparkles,” Lily said proudly, holding up her stuffed dragon. “We saw lions, elephants, monkeys, everything!” Ella gasped. “Did you see a tiger?” Lily shook her head. “No tigers, but the lions were huge! There was one with a big, golden mane. He looked like a king.”

Lily snapped. The girl raced out of the dining room, her steps sounding as she headed for the kitchen, while Haden watched with wide eyes as the event played in front of him. His eyes, which were filled with lust and adoration, now started with disgust. Peter’s hands frantically searched my pockets until he pulled out the pill. “Be quick, you slot!” Lily bellowed as the girl rushed back to the dining table, holding a cup. Peter pulled out a pill and took the cup of water from the girl.
