I sigh and continue munching on my peanut butter cookies. “At least he showed up with the best invitation ever.” He stamps a card on the table. I had shared with my favorites earlier and of course, I slipped theirs in their lockers.

He kisses my shoulder and stands, sliding out of me. “You know I wouldn’t be calling you if it wasn’t,” I hear Quirin say. I crawl onto the bed while Henry turns and sits beside me. I move behind him, wrapping my arms around him while I listen in, making sure nothing is wrong in our pack. “Do you know an Alpha Peter, Henry?” Henry growls. “Peter Moore? Patrick’s younger brother?” he asks, looking at me. “I just got off the phone with Wendy and Hacker. Apparently, Peter is the one who was planning to buy Piper.”
