Perry dozed off on the couch with a blanket tucked up to his chin. Tyler disappeared to read. Bryan lined his papers and went upstairs.

It occurred to me after you left that perhaps this may be too much information too fast.”

It was a physical weight—the collective shock of twenty Alphas holding their breath. I could feel the heat of their stares, a hundred questions burning through the air.
