"Do you want to go out?" K walked past him and was already heading up the stairs. "Actually I just have to return something to you," she uttered. "Let's come up to your place?" Jesse gave her a confused look, wondering what it was that she had to return. "Okay," he mused. He followed her up the stairs to his unit. "Why were you speaking with Mrs. Petrushka?" He asked. Her tone was more of a command than the request it should have been. "I can't give you all I have" Axel's expression turned cold. Through the space around her, I glance about the house, straining to see him so he could explain to me what the hell she was doing in his house in a robe. “Where's Jesse?” I demanded, my voice softer than I'd intended. “Out,” she replied, leaning against the doorframe, her arms crossed over her chest. “Leave a message, I'll give it all to him.”

Petra glanced at the caller ID and immediately lifted the phone to her ear. “Hello, Mr. Wesley,” she said politely. On the other end of the line, Oscar Wesley’s voice came through clearly, though it carried a slight note of concern. “I heard you ran into Pete at the entrance,” Oscar said. “Do you need me to send someone?” Petra leaned slightly against the couch cushion, her gaze drifting calmly toward the backstage curtains that separated her from the main hall. “No,” she replied simply. Her tone remained calm, almost indifferent. “Since the two of them walked right into trouble,” she continued slowly, “they can’t blame me for destroying their dreams.”

You can't keep doing this forever,” Sasha asked. “If I had one, do you think I'd still be working for him. The only plan I have right now is to keep my head, I need to stay alive."
