Pets United Roger Novels & Stories

“I’ve lived in this house for thirty-one years! I know every animal that comes through that garden. Foxes in winter. Hedgehogs under the shed. That fat pigeon your mother insists on feeding even though it’s destroyed every tomato plant I’ve ever grown.” I leaned back in the chair and pressed the phone harder against my ear. “I have never,” he continued firmly, “seen a snake on that path. Not once. Not in thirty-one years. And this wasn’t some grass snake that wandered in from the field. This thing was small, bright markings, sitting right in the middle of the step like somebody set it down with both hands.” “What kind was it?” “I took a photo before I dealt with it.” He paused. “Sent it to R

“Still the same, but the test results are back. Your father didn’t have a heart attack. He was poisoned.” “What!” “Yes. And I know who did it.” “Who?” He demanded, knowing it must be the Contis. “That snake living in our home. Jane.”

She’d taken them down so expertly that I wondered how she got into the situation in the first place, how they’d managed to ambush her. I thought about stories I’d heard about rogues. There were known to wreak havoc among packs. If she was a typical rogue then I could see how that would be. No wonder pack leaders usually hated them. So much so that if an alpha or luna crossed paths with one, their first instinct would be to kill. I thought about what this meant for my mate, and how my mother would take it. Would my mother try to kill my mate? Of course, I couldn’t let anything happen to her.

Roger pointed in a certain direction immediately, causing my eyes to narrow in confusion so he explained, “She and her brother have been living in the alpha's house since the day Zayn left the pack.” “That bitch,” As I cursed her under my breath, I didn't drop my gaze away from the mercenary wolf so I was able to see him reaching for something in his pocket. “What are you doing? Put your hands in the air, now.” Roger stiffened a bit before he did what I had commanded, letting a frustrated sigh pass through his lips, “I need to go home soon. Can't you release me now that I have told you everything I know?” “Why are you such in a hurry to go home?”

"I've been waiting for your call." "I know," Brianna said. "I'm sorry it took me so long." "It's okay," Phoenix said. "What matters is that you called. Can you... can you come see me?" "Yes, Phoenix," Brianna said, her voice filled with tears. "I'll be there. I'll be there as soon as I can." The visit to the rehabilitation center was both heartbreaking and healing. Phoenix was confined to a wheelchair, his body still weakened, but his spirit remained strong. He greeted Brianna with a warm smile, his eyes filled with love.

“Yeah, I saw that on your official website. I don't why I said Feathers instead of Payne. How???” He chuckles again. “The main question should be how did you get him to go out?” I blink between both of them. “What? Oh my god, where are my manners? I’m Roxanne Harrington. Pleasure to meet you.” He arched a brow but shook my outstretched hand. “The pleasure is all mine, believe me.” He says as he guides us inside. I can’t stop gawking. The man is a meat legend. With several variety shows and two chain restaurants under his name at age thirty, he was everyone’s inspiration.

Just as I was about to unleash a commotion that broke loose in the hallway, Nick barged into the room followed closely by Cat who had her hand on her hips unimpressed by his presence. “Boss, sorry to barge in but we have a problem at the clubhouse”. Nick glared at Cat as she pushed past his shoulder. “Get out the pair of you” she growled. “It's okay Cat, by the sounds of things the Rogues have yet another drama, no doubt it’s because their Alpha is incapable of leading a pack”. Vivian yawned suddenly looking disinterested in what was occurring around her. “See you later Fiancee” I grinned “don’t forget to show Cat your ring”

The Chinese rural dog bit through the throat of the Spanish dog, which was known as the royal descendant of the Dog Fighting Realm. Crack! The next second, the Caucasian dog's throat broke and it fell to the ground and died. The next second, all the people present were shocked!

she added, “If you keep this up, you will be a big papa that enjoys sleeping on the couch.” I looked at Sable who has a very proud expression of her face from shocking me with that comment. “Well then, I guess we are both going to love the couch then. I will just drag you with me.” She chuckled and shook her head. “You’re impossible.” “We spoke about this before too, little mama.” I said, winking at her. Sable put on her business face again and began speaking, “So, Roger is mated to Daphne, and he wants to spend time with her. More importantly he doesn’t want us to kill her.”

If I weren’t being dragged into this nightmare, I might have admired it. When the car stopped, Roger stepped out without a word. He adjusted his jacket lazily but somehow with elegance and finally gestured for me to follow. Him. I hesitated. “I am not some dog! I am not your pet!” Roger looked at me with a blank face. Like the very second we'd met. He didn't betray any emotion. He just looked bored. Like he was used to dealing with people like me. Or maybe he was. After all, Regina had mentioned that he bought slaves. Pregnant slaves.
