The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

I let my hands hover over the keys for a moment, feeling a sense of anticipation building within me. With a deep breath, I pressed down on the keys, and the first notes rang out, clear and pure. The sound resonated through the room, filling the space with its haunting melody. I chose to play a song that I had loved and played often as a child, a piece titled "Falling Dominos." The lyrics of the song were incredibly sad, telling a story of loss and heartbreak, but the music itself was even more melancholic. The symphony that unfolded on the piano was almost depressing, a cascade of minor chords and somber melodies that seemed to echo the deepest sorrows of the soul.

The man is so cruel and mean. I really don't understand Avery. She seems like an intelligent person but she is a pushover unfortunately. I'll keep reading though, hoping she becomes fierce and kicks his ass.

Here to correct a review I mistakenly left for a different book with a similar premise. As far as THIS novel, the author really does a great job writing in a way that makes you feel like you're there. The FL is pathetic at times, but likeable as hell. The ML though? Pathetic is an understatement lol

The Pianist's Stunning Violets

The Pianist's Stunning Violets

“Dear God, thanks for bringing me here. I entrust everything to You. I need to renew my strength as I have to make a decision soon. My family did not understand how I felt right now, but You did. Unfortunately, I have forgotten You again and again because I am preoccupied with my work and love life. She began to play her favorite song, “Whisper a Prayer and Amazing Grace.” Then, she played her composition. She missed the black and white keys and their soothing melody and rhythm as she pressed them. Her thoughts were racing and on second thought she made it happen. She hummed and searched the keys. Then, she played a brand-new composition along with her most recent poem. That longing energy f

The Pianist

The Pianist

Entering into a very spacious living room, the old maid eventually slowed down her pace, stopping close to a massive, shiny and completely black piano. "No one would take this job because they are too afraid, no matter how much money it pays," The maid stated matter-of-factly as she gazed at the beautiful work of art that served as a piano, the girl almost immediately starting to feel a little bit wary herself at the mere hearing of her peculiar words. What is that even supposed to mean? "Why would they be afraid?" She immediately questioned, unconsciously also taking a defensive step back.

When the Painting Tells the Story

When the Painting Tells the Story

The painter broke the awkwardness. Alain turned to him as he sighed. “It’s not aluminum,” he replied. “Anyway, what do you want to talk with me, Sir?” It was time for René to prepared his mentality. He was not sure, but it was the only way for him to find out. “Do you know a girl named Park Ah Reum?” The painter asked softly. Unexpected to him, the student furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “Who is Park Ah Reum?” The streaks of hope that living in his heart for a moment died in an instant when he heard the student’s question.

she replied. "No dear. That was amazing! Look, you have not played piano for so many years but you played a fantasic piano piece." "But I still want to be better. I can't even master Antonio Vivaldi's Summer or Franz Liszt's La Campanella." "Dear, you are only starting. If we train everyday, I am sure you can master those pieces. And, those songs you said are really hard to play. Patience is a virtue." She smiled at me.

A Story That Doesn’t Belong To You

A Story That Doesn’t Belong To You

“Then maybe that’s your answer.” Later that night, Ryan stood by his window. The streetlights blurred in the distance. His inbox pinged again a reply from L. Tansey, offering a call. He didn’t answer yet. Instead, he opened a blank page. And he typed: “A Story That Doesn’t Belong To You” by Ryan Calloway He stared at the title for a long moment. Then under it, he wrote: “This isn’t a story about revenge. It’s about reclaiming.” Two weeks later.

Lycan King's Hybrid Captive

Lycan King's Hybrid Captive

Celest’s POV The piano was my shield. Every night, I hid behind its polished wood and ivory keys, letting the music drown out the whispers that followed me through life. Tonight, I played Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat major, my mother's favorite. My fingers knew the melody by heart, each note a memory of her teaching me, her hands guiding mine across these same keys years ago. The private club’s usual crowd of Manhattan’s supernatural elite buzzed around me, their conversations a distant hum beneath the music. Crystal glasses clinked, expensive perfumes mingled with aged whiskey, and I remained invisible. Just another human employee. Or so they thought. Just the piano girl.

The Piano of Vengeance

The Piano of Vengeance

It felt like ages since she'd last played it, ever since the accident. "Remember what I said," Arthur suddenly whispered right behind her ear as he gently placed both hands on the piano. "Music doesn’t have to be perfect. Sometimes, it’s the imperfections that make it beautiful!" Smiling at the sweet kiss he placed on her temple, Athena finally gathered the courage to let her fingers touch a few of the piano keys. She began to play a few notes, and Arthur joined in, complementing her until a beautiful, romantic melody filled the air. Each note was a conversation. Each glance between them held laughter, longing, memories, and silent declarations of love. Their smiles mirrored each other’s, gr
