Novel & Cerita Pick A Number

I close the page, return back there again and retry, end up on nothing again. I spin it fifteen more times with no luck. It is either rigged or I just have no luck. Sighing, I drop the phone, hoping both of them are safe.

It was indeed too much for me. I called Whitney's number countless times until my phone battery was low . It was never picked until it went off. I think she decided to change her number. How could she even think of doing that when she took advantage of my weakness seducing me , making me fuck her then leave me with my child in such situation alone. I almost went crazy… I even started talking to myself in the empty house. There was emptiness everywhere around me and even in my heart.

“My eyes are very sharp, I have never seen anything wrong. I make sure, sooner or later, Dr.Ivory will contact you.” “Do you want to bet? I win, you give me 1 million VND. If I lose, I'll give you one. OK?" Daisy was very excited while Abel still hesitated because he didn’t want to be involved in gambling games, but Daisy said a tough word; “Don’t be too mean. Just for fun. ⅕ your month’s salary. You don’t have your wife and children. No need to think of the future too much.” Daisy's mouth smiled brightly like a blooming flower as if she were counting money in her hand. “Why are you so sure?” Abel was curious about Daisy’s certain attitude.

This is Tobi. I quickly picked up my phone and was about to construct a reply to him but Calvin got my attention. "Who's that?" I couldn't tell Calvin that a classmate of mine helped me. He will be furious and add the fact that it's a guy. "It's just a wrong number. I’m just reading the text" I said as I kept the phone in my pocket

Then he saw Celine smiled after looking at the small lamp and waved her hand. She looked like she won a lottery when the number keypad was projected in his desk. She tried to key in his birthdate: Access Denied. Her birthdate? Access Denied. Shit! She weighed the pros and cons after 3 failed attempts. If this was a bank, she would most probably suffocated, or get killed by gatling guns. Or police would be alerted. Damn it. Think. Think. Think. What could Daniel possibly use as a passcode? 05-10-15

During the morning together with Beverly, three of them from their table had already left for their physical examination and there was only April, Anna, and Davis remaining at the table. April number showed up after they had lunch among the new list of ten numbers, Anna continued to play her game, she was glad that she brought her portable battery charger with her to charge her phone. It was around two in the afternoon she saw her number, she got up after passing her phone and charger to Davis. “Good luck,” he told her when she was leaving. “Same to you,” she told him before walking towards the young woman. “Number?” the young woman asked. “One thousand and one,” Anna said.

She repeats the number. I dig my tickets out of my back pocket. Five, three, seven, two, two, two. Five, three, seven, two, two, one. And the last one, five, three, seven… holy fuck. I double and triple-check the last three digits. “Anybody here have that number.” She repeats it a third time. “Me.” Nobody hears my squeak. I raise my voice and my arm, with the tiny white ticket clasped tightly in my fingers. “I won.”

She drew the number 15. Tami also followed draw. She winked at the staff next to the lottery box and soon got a serial number of 13. She was satisfied with a smile, very good, before and after being separated by two people, even if Kim has the ability, it is also impossible to come up with a new speech content in just 20 minutes. This time, she will lose face!

The voice paused to let that sink in with everyone before continuing: “Picking a small number doesn't equate safety, so don't jubilate just yet.” My pulse thrummed against my neck. “Successfully drawing a small number means you let the system pick a random player as a distraction” “What?” “Shouldn’t it be our luck if we draw a small number?” A low protest erupted. “The system’s just being…fair” the voice replied, firmly. “That's not fair!” someone yelled. The girl in the pod next to me had already begun sobbing with hands clasped tight as she chanted prayers in some foreign tongue I could barely grasp.

He releases my hand as I continue to stare at the screen. He turns his head towards me and asks, “Do you have any preference for a five-digit security number?” I stop and think for a moment, but nothing comes to mind. I slowly shake my head. Wyatt turns his attention back towards the screen. “That’s all right. We don’t want it to be anything that is too easy to figure out, so how about I just pick one.” He types a number on the flat screen. When he is done, he turns back towards me and smiles. “I have selected 22020. It means the second month of 2020 being when we met. Can you remember that?”
