She exclaimed, super excited.
I helped her make her bed quickly before we both went down to the kitchen. Valerie insisted on helping me with the pancakes, so I let her. She perched on a stool, diligently stirring the batter with a tiny whisk, her tongue peeking out in concentration. “Mummy,” she declared with a thoughtful frown creasing her brows. “Do you think unicorns like pancakes?”
I chuckled, flipping a pancake. “Hmm, that’s a good question. Maybe they prefer rainbow sprinkles?”
