A knowledgeable demon from the dark forest that captures one’s soul and enslaves it to his will. One of the many things I knew about this beast was that it wasn’t real. His powers hinged on hallucinations. The moment he took control of your mind, he could destroy you from the inside out. Another little detail about this particular beast was that it wasn’t a stranger to me.

One to anchor, one to ignite.” She turned, the wind catching her hair, her crystal eyes gleaming like blades. “They’ve already done the impossible for us—they’ve stabilized the bond. All we have to do is take it.” Another Inquisitor spoke from the shadows, voice edged with fear. “And if the demon resists?” Selene glanced toward the east, where faint traces of smoke marked Kael and Aria’s flight. “He will,” she said softly. “That’s why we bring the Crucible.”

They could transform into them if they use their powers at full strength. The bestias were the lustful ones. They feed on someone's warmth, fear, anger and frustrations. Those were the monsters' source of power.
