He groaned, forehead resting against mine. "Right. Yes. Of course." He set me down gently, fumbling with his wallet. I watched, heart racing, as he pulled out a small foil packet.

This one truly was a rollercoaster and I thank you all for sticking around until the end…even with the inconsistency of my updates… I’m truly sorry about that…I will be writing about 10-15 chapters about Jeo so you guys can meet his mate and also see just how his life turned out. The papers were covered in Roxy's neat, yet hurried, scribbles. Each page was dedicated to a specific supernatural species, with titles like "Reaver", "Vampire", "Werewolf", "Cryomancer", and "Witch" heading each section. Beneath these titles, Roxy had jotted down notes, presumably extracted from my book. “This book has a lot of history in it, and a lot of different species' history as well. I didn't want to keep your book forever, so I’m making my own book. My own supernatural compilation.” Her matter-of-fact tone couldn't disguise the pride shining in her eyes, and I could tell she was thrilled with her project.

Simply sleeping with the man didn’t seem to work. “…I should have done it for real…” Roxanne twisted her lips. She didn’t want her first time with Gryphon to end up with him sleeping all the way. To be honest, she was waiting for Gryphon to wake up after she took her shower. Not only did Gryphon puke at her, but the sweat of physically carrying him to her room on her own also played a role in her discomfort that night.
