“Staaahp.” I can tell she wants anything but for me to stop. From the way her smile is widening, she’s loving every word. I smile back at her, chuckling as I drink her in. “I think you like it. I mean…” I lift my hand in a semi dismissive motion. “What girl wouldn't want to be considered spiky and pokey and sweet all at once.”

She brought the toast before my eyes and motioned me to open my mouth. My gaze didn't leave her and I slightly opened my mouth but closed them immediately. She narrowed her eyes but soon understood why I quickly closed my mouth. “It's not poisoned if that's what you are thinking.” She smiled again at me and I couldn't get why her smile did something to me everytime she did. My grip around her hair loosened as I parted my lips and dug into the toast with my teeth.

My eye bright d I huff a smile. “Always have a smile on, it makes you look make beautiful” she adds. I wonder how she always manages to stare at myself because I Know how bad my face and I wouldn’t feel ocomdortacle strong at it in close range for a long period tkrmbut h always does it.

A mischievous smile appeared remembering something from our childhood. ‘ I never wore but there is someone whom I always made her wear dress.’ ( Pehna toh nahi Lekin koye hai jisai maine pehnaya jaroor hai.) "Now what... Cat caught your tongue... And why are you giving me this smile as if I'm joking around... I'm damn serious. Look at me... Am I laughing? No na... I look better than those skinny girl friends of yours. " Her eyes wide open getting irritated as she spoke. She is a Firecracker.

Then suddenly, her lips parted. “That’s not a real smile.” The words caught me off guard. I let out a bitter laugh. “Aha! See? You noticed. That’s because I’m terrible at it.” I stretched my mouth into a grin so forced it probably looked more painful than her wounds. “There, that’s my smile. Makes children cry and women run for the hills. Pathetic, right?” I expected her to flinch or turn away, but she only stared. And goddess help me… I felt it. That itching pit of loneliness twisting inside me, mocking me for daring to joke about it.

There was something pure in that smile — something that slipped past every defense I tried to keep standing. She noticed my gaze. Turned slowly toward me. For a second, the world seemed to shrink. “What?” she asked, still smiling. The words escaped before I could stop them. “You look beautiful.” She blinked, surprised. Then she smiled differently. “You do too,” she said. “This atmosphere suits you.” “It does?” “Yes. It makes you less… grumpy.” I let out a short laugh. “I’ll pretend that was a compliment.” “It was,” she said, serious now. “A big one.”

i smile, to show her i mean no harm with that sentence. Her light chuckle catches me off guard. "best friends actually " it's the first time she's really smiled, i spot dimples, her smile is warm and beautiful, it's the kind that can brighten up a day just by having a glimpse at it, it's the type that can lure a dozen passerbys to stop and stare, and for a moment, i find myself drawn to it. So i decide at that moment to play matchmaker. That was never my intention at first but seeing the gleem in her eyes as she talks about her best friend, that hates me by the way, i think i already have her figured out.

Eventually, I sent the message, my heart racing a bit. Her response made me smile, "I know what you mean. Our photos can't capture everything." I couldn't agree more. She had a way of understanding beyond words. "True," I replied, "but they do make me smile." She responded with a playful emoji, "I'm glad. What's making you smile the most?" It was a simple question, but it carried a world of emotions. I pondered for a moment, then typed, "The one where we're laughing at that silly joke you made. Your smile is my favorite."

I gave her a small smile which made her lips tweak into her own smile, brightening up my day more than I thought it could. Her smile could literally make my day and I hope that I'll be the only guy to make her smile like that.

"I’m just going to... take my leave now. Thanks for the bed, I guess." She made it to the door, but then she stopped. Something about the way he was standing there, so isolated and cold, made her turn back slowly. "You know," she started, her voice gaining a bit of unexpected strength. "You should probably try smiling more often. Even though you’re... well, handsome, I guess, smiling actually makes you look human. You don't have to be a total grump all the time. I know your childhood was trash, trust me, I get it, same here, but stop being so miserable."
